Tony Vero Nel Regno Di Tallia - Viaggio Nella Vita Oltre La Morte Attraverso L'amore Karmico.

Tony Jones; or, the Expanded Autobiography
The human body is a container for numerous incarnations of multiplicity and fragmentation. This fluctuation of persona is a natural characteristic of the human condition. Embedded within our essence is a capacity to construct, develop and reinforce identities of multiple persuasions. The normalcy of these fluctuations can be identified within artistic, sociological, and cultural constructs. Tony Jones; or, The Expanded Autobiography examines the use of flux persona as a legitimate tool for artistic expression.

Longlisted for the 2022 Runciman AwardThis is the first book-length study of the classicism of Tony Harrison, one of the most important contemporary poets in England and the world. It argues that his unique and politically radical classicism is inextricable from his core notion that poetry should be a public property in which communal problems are shared and crystallised, and that the poet has a responsibility to speak in a public voice about collective and political concerns. Enriched by Edith Hall’s longstanding friendship with Harrison and involvement with his most recent drama, inspired by Euripides’ Iphigenia in Tauris, it also asserts that his greatest innovations in both form and style have been direct results of his intense engagements with individual works of ancient literature and his belief that the ancient Greek poetic imagination was inherently radical.Tony Harrison's large body of work, for which he has won several major and international prizes, and which features on the UK National Curriculum, ranges widely across long and short poems, plays, translations and film poems. Having studied Classics at Grammar School and University and having translated ancient poets from Aeschylus to Martial and Palladas, Harrison has been immersed in the myths, history, literary forms and authorial voices of Mediterranean antiquity for his entire working life and his classical interests are reflected in every poetic genre he has essayed, from epigrams and sonnets to original stage plays, translations of Greek drama and Racine, to his experimental and harrowing film poems, where he has pioneered the welding of tightly cut video materials to tightly phrased verse forms. This volume explores the full breadth of his oeuvre, offering an insightful new perspective on a writer who has played an important part in shaping our contemporary literary landscape.
Tony Stewart's Lyrics, Poems & Short Stories
This is a rare collection of Song lyrics, Poems and Short Stories by Tony Stewart. Note from author: I began writing when I was about fourteen years of age, and have never really stopped. Many of these pieces have been written mainly as a freelance writer. These are writings from the heart, mind, and soul of life's experiences. Today, I'm really lucky to be alive. As a naive teenager, I nearly overdosed on drugs at the California Jam concert in 1974 that accommodated over 300,000 people. Many of my closest friends from the L.A. days were not so lucky and have died prematurely from unnatural causes. In 1976, I was nearly killed by serial killer Patrick Wayne Kearney, also known as the Trash Bag Murderer. He killed an estimated 32 to 43 people. In 1978, I was shot "Point blank" in the stomach with a .22 caliber derringer, but survived to write this book. Good or bad, politically correct or not; it is all here.

The 18th century was a wealth of knowledge, exploration and rapidly growing technology and expanding record-keeping made possible by advances in the printing press. In its determination to preserve the century of revolution, Gale initiated a revolution of its own: digitization of epic proportions to preserve these invaluable works in the largest archive of its kind. Now for the first time these high-quality digital copies of original 18th century manuscripts are available in print, making them highly accessible to libraries, undergraduate students, and independent scholars. The eighteenth-century fascination with Greek and Roman antiquity followed the systematic excavation of the ruins at Pompeii and Herculaneum in southern Italy; and after 1750 a neoclassical style dominated all artistic fields. The titles here trace developments in mostly English-language works on painting, sculpture, architecture, music, theater, and other disciplines. Instructional works on musical instruments, catalogs of art objects, comic operas, and more are also included. ++++The below data was compiled from various identification fields in the bibliographic record of this title. Moscow in the Cold War. Karachi during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Buenos Aires at the time of Perón’s death. Three critical chapters of twentieth-century history – and as a young diplomat, Tony Rossiter had a box seat. In Moscow in 1968, Western diplomats were kept under surveillance, their flats were bugged, and they were harassed by the KGB. From Moscow, Tony went to Karachi, a quasi-colonial world of servants and snobby expatriates. When war broke out, his young family huddled together as bomb blasts shook the walls. After a week of air attacks, women and children were belatedly evacuated. Transferred to Buenos Aires, it was out of the frying pan into the fire. Tony arrived, shortly after Perón’s reinstatement as president, as the Montoneros urban guerrillas were stepping up terrorist attacks against Western targets. Unlike the memoirs of most former diplomats, this book is not about high-level bureaucracy. Instead, it provides rare insight into the day-to-day life of a young man working at the coalface. Rossiter’s background was unusual for his era, and this vivid and evocative memoir offers a unique glimpse behind the curtain of international diplomacy.

Designer Tony Duquette’s legendary Dawnridge, located in Beverly Hills, is one of the most creatively designed private homes in America. Built in 1949 by Duquette and his wife, Elizabeth, the original structure was a modest 30 x 30 foot box. Hutton Wilkinson purchased the home following Duquette’s death in 1999, and he has since breathed new life into the estate, broadening the property, adding houses of his own design, and incorporating remarkable objects designed and created by the Duquettes. Written by Wilkinson, Tony Duquette’s Dawnridge chronicles the luxe and historic home’s transformation. The book is organized by the three main houses, and Wilkinson elaborates on the spectacular design elements in each room and shares the stories behind the spaces. Tim Street-Porter’s photographs show both the original and redesigned rooms.
