Nanocomposites are of great industrial and technological interest. In recent years, they have gained rapidly increasing interest due to the combination of properties they present. Thanks to the small dimensions of the nanoparticles, these materials have a high fraction of interfacial regions (interphase) which has a major influence on the physical properties of the material. They allow to combine the properties of the polymer (ease of processing, lightness...) with those of the inorganic filler (optical, magnetic properties...). The polymeric matrices used in this work are two saturated polyesters, namely polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polyethylene naphthalate (PEN). The method of elaboration of PET/PEN/clay nanocomposites in a single step by reactive extrusion has been successfully carried out. The untreated clay was purified and then activated using three basic reagents namely peroxide, sulfur and a specific gas pedal. PET and PEN were mixed separately in the molten state with reactive clay. PET/4 wt% clay and PEN/7.5 wt% clay showed complete exfoliation.

Klassiske sjangre som landskap, portrett og stilleben blir tatt opp til ny behandling, i et formspråk som har vekslet uanstrengt mellom det forestillende og det abstrakte. Arvid Pettersen markerte seg tidlig i nordisk kunst, og sto med sin frie og lett anarkistiske holdning til tradisjonen fram som en hovedskikkelse innenfor det postmoderne maleriet både i Norge og i nabolandene. Parallelt med en utstrakt utstillingsvirksomhet har han i flere perioder undervist ved norske kunstakademier, noe som har vært viktig impuls for hans eget arbeid. Åpenheten for endring er også tydelig i hans nyeste verk, som markerer en ny fase i kunstnerskapet. Samlet viser produksjonen utviklingen av en personlig bildeverden, og en særlig bevissthet om kunstverkets kommunikasjonskraft i møte med sitt publikum.

Kungl. Gustav Adolfs Akademien för svensk folkkultur är en riksakademi med säte i Uppsala. Sin uppgift att främja forskning rörande svensk folklig kultur, begreppet taget i vid mening, skall Akademien enligt sina stadgar bland annat fullgöra genom att i sina skriftserier offentliggöra forskningsrön inom ämnesområden som den har till uppgift att vårda sig om. Huvudserien är Acta Academiae Regiae Gustavi Adolphi, vars första nummer utkom 1933. Bland övriga serier kan nämnas Folklivsskildringar och bygdestudier, Kungl. Gustav Adolfs Akademiens småskrifter och Svenska sagor och sägner. I denna bok beskriver Nils-Arvid Bringéus sin trygga uppväxtmiljö i lärarfamiljen i Örkelljunga. Flytten från hembygden till Lund i tonåren öppnade en ny värld, men innebar inte ett definitivt uppbrott. Trots studier och professorskarriär i och utanför det akademiska Lund blev Örkelljunga en fast punkt att återvända till som hembygdsforskare och kulturinspiratör. Den egna familjen och relationer med vänner och forskarkollegor har en väsentlig plats i boken – och i Nils-Arvid Bringéus liv.
