Sowohl von den B den als auch von den Pflanzen wurden Proben entnommen und mit dem Atomabsorptionsspektrophotometer (AAS) auf bestimmte Schadstoffe (Ni, Pb, Cr und Cd) untersucht. Die Ergebnisse der Arbeit best tigten das Vorhandensein von Schwermetallen im Boden und in den verschiedenen Pflanzenteilen, die die von der Ern hrungs- und Landwirtschaftsorganisation/Weltgesundheitsorganisation (FAO/WHO) empfohlenen Grenzwerte (1,5 mg/kg) und auch die der Kontrolle deutlich berschreiten. Daher sollte diese Arbeit wertvolle Daten liefern, die den Einsatz von Sonnenblumenpflanzen in der Phytosanierung unterst tzen und f r Fachleute in den Bereichen Umweltmanagement, Landwirtschaft, Sanierung und in der Erd lindustrie n tzlich sein, die m glicherweise billigere und kosteneffiziente Wege zur Reinigung kontaminierter B den ohne Nebenwirkungen in Betracht ziehen.
