Often described as a "gothic novel," this is a classic American tale of mystery and murder with exciting and dramatic plot twists. Charles Brockden Brown is the most frequently studied and republished practitioner of the "early American novel," or the US novel between 1789 and roughly 1820. This volume contains a critical edition of Charles Brockden Brown's Edgar Huntly, the third of his novels to be published in 1799 and the first to deal with the American wilderness. The basis of the text is the first edition, printed and published by Hugh Maxwell in Philadelphia late in the year, but the "Fragment" printed independently in Brown's Monthly Magazine earlier in 1799 supplies some readings in Chapters 17-20. The Historical Essay, which follows the text, covers matters of composition, publication, historical background, and literary evaluation, and the Textual Essay discusses the transmission of the text, choice of copy-text, and editorial policy. A general textual statement for the entire edition appears in Volume I of the series.

For the late psychic Edgar Cayce, the aura provided a pictorial representation of an individual's health, thoughts, talents and life potentials as well as karmic lessons and even past lives. In a very real sense, the aura functions as a barometer of the whole self - body, mind and spirit. Psychic, Carol Ann Liaros and Cayce expert, Kevin J. Todeschi have joined together to present a unique volume that teaches you to access your intuitive self in order to see these auras and colours and then goes on to explain their meaning as based on the well-documented readings of Edgar Cayce. Their work explores colours and the human aura in a way that provides practical tools for understanding that can be applied in your own life right now. Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) is the most-documented psychic of all time with 14,306 readings archived at the chrity foundation he founded in 1931. Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of books have been written about and inspired by Cayce and his readings, but only one was actually authored by the psychic himself and that little best-selling book, Auras: An Essay on the Meaning of Colors, is included in this volume.

Using the wisdom and vision of the world-famous seer Edgar Cayce, Van Auken helps us reach our spiritual life force that is intimately and ultimately connected to all of life, all of time, and all of space- a part of ourselves that is our true self and is naturally in touch with the infinite and the eternal. What power over our lives can we wield when in touch with the infinite? A broader awareness, a healthier vitality, a purpose, and a meaningfulness. The life force is within us, within our spirit and mind, and this book gives us the tools to fully awaken and activate it. One of the most fascinating topics found in the readings of famed psychic Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) revealed the existence of a sacred sect called the Essenes. His information about the Essenes would later be confirmed by the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls two years after his death. Cayce's readings contained more than a description of who the Essenes were and their purpose in bringing the Christ into the earth, he gave us details about their lives and past lives Many of these Essenes reincarnated during Cayce's time and received readings that revealed their soulsincluding their purposes then and now. What can we learn from these readings and the reincarnation of the Essenes? There is so much about our origin, our soul group, and the purpose for which we are here on earth today in this latest book that it is like having a manual for soul growth. Ideals, practices, and guiding principles held by these ancient ones are as valuable to us today as they were then.
Edgar Cayce's Egyptian Energy Healing
Author Shelley Kaehr, PhD, who has worked with vibrational energy medicine for two decades as well as studied Cayce's readings on the topic, delves into the wealth of information given and brings forth Edgar Cayce's Egyptian Energy Medicine. In any form of healing, the goal is to change the current frequency (or vibration) to one that is more balanced and in rapport with optimal results. Shelley shows us that working with our consciousness to overcome our life lessons and challenges to achieve lasting happiness and peace throughout our lives is actually achievable. Enriching yet simple, step-by-step information is given to us as tools we can use to apply this ancient knowledge to our everyday modern lives.
