Prince Eugen s Waldemarsudde, with around 440 000 visitors yearly, is one of Sweden s most visited art museums. This book is the first publication about Waldemarsudde available in both a Swedish and an English edition. When Prince Eugen bequeathed Waldemarsudde to the Swedish state in 1947, one of the main conditions was that the beautiful total artwork should be administered as a vital cultural image. The former home of landscape painter and cultural persona Prince Eugen and opened up its doors to the public as a museum in 1948. In this beautiful book Waldemarsudde is presented in all of its colourful spectra. The dominating photographic material takes us on an exciting journey through the art collections, architecture and interiors to the sculptures in the wonderful gardens from an oasis of untouched nature and flourishing flowerbeds to the extensive activities of today. Photographer Yanan Li has captured the place over time and throughout changing seasons, the result is a timeless intimate and beautiful portrait of Prince Eugen s Waldemarsudde. In fourteen well-informed chapters written by Museum Director General Karin Sidén and Museum Archivist and Librarian Anna Meister the book describes the coherence of nature, art and culture, of history, innovation and the future which makes Prince Eugen s Waldemarsudde a unique, as well as an exceptional place for all senses. Der 65. Geburtstag von Eugen Fink am 11. Dezember 1970 bietet nur den ausseren Anlass fUr das Erscheinen seiner Biblio- graphie. Entscheidender ist die Tatsache, dass seine Schriften in der philosophischen Diskussion des In- und Auslandes im- mer mehr an Boden gewinnen. FUr das Ausland sind vor aHem Frankreich, Spanien, Italien, Jugoslawien, Nordamerika und Japan zu nennen. Enge philosophische Beziehungen ver- binden ihn mit den beiden franzosischen Philosophen Maurice Merleau-Ponty und Gaston Berger. die sich in ihren phano- menologischen Arbeiten auf Fink berufen. This book is a reprint of the 1927 auction catalog that sold the Arms and Armour collection of the Archduke Eugen from the armory at Fortress Hohenwerfen near Salzburg, Austria. The entire content from the armory (over 2000 individual items) was sold in 1155 auction lots on March 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5, 1927 in New York. The catalog has over 102 photographs showing 290 of the items in the sale including 10 suits of armor. Original copies of the 1927 Archduke Eugen Arms and Armour auction catalog are almost impossible to find and they are greatly desired by arms and armor collectors for its historical significance and valued reference of early weapons and armour from the 15th to 19 century. Original title of the 1927 auction catalog, sale number 2140 by The Anderson Galleries, New York, was "The Great Historical collection of Arms & Armour, the entire contents of the Armoury, Fortress Hohenwerfen near Salzburg, Austria, Inherited & Augmented by H. I. & R. H. Archduke Eugen, F. M.".
