In this new edition therefore, 42 elements with resolvable natural variations in isotope composition are discussed. New findings from non-traditional isotope systems have been incorporated. Many new references have been added, which enable quick access to recent literature.

Adorno; dass die "deutsche Nachkriegsliteratur" ebendies zu ihrem Thema gemacht hat, konstatiert wenig spater der Erzahler Heinrich Boell. Die mehr als zwanzig Essays dieses Bandes, verfasst zwischen 1980 und 2012, spuren diesem historischen, sozialpsychologischen und literarischen Zusammenhang nach. Sie zeigen, wie die westdeutsche "Nachkriegsliteratur" wegweisend und stellvertretend fur Staat und Gesellschaft agierte, die sich dieser Aufgabe nur zoegerlich stellten. In der aktuellen Debatte um eine grundlegende Reform des Wirtschaftsstandorts Deutschland stehen Ansatze zur Reduzierung der Lohnkostenbelastung der Unternehmen im Vordergrund. Diskutiert werden insbesondere der Umbau des Sozialversicherungssystems und die Deregulierung des Arbeitsmarktes. Allerdings findet diese Politik der Lohnkostensenkung dort ihre Grenze, wo sie ihr eigentliches Ziel verfehlt, Vollbeschaftigung bei gleichzeitiger Beibehaltung der deutschen Spitzenposition in der internationalen Einkommenshierarchie zu gewahrleisten. Aus diesem Grund vertrat der Sachverstandigenrat zur Begutachtung der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Entwicklung schon im Jahr 1995 die Auffassung, dass zur langfristigen Standortsicherung uberdurchschnittliche Produktivitatssteigerungen unverzichtbar seien, die durch eine Wiederbelebung der Innovationsfahigkeit der deutschen Wirtschaft hervorgerufen werden sollten. In dieser Studie wird am Beispiel der deutschen Kunststoffindustrie der Frage nachgegangen, welche Moglichkeiten Unternehmensmanagement und Wirtschaftspolitiker besitzen, das Innovationspotential nationaler Unternehmen zu starken, damit diese auch von einem Standort mit vergleichsweise hohen Faktorkosten aus international konkurrenzfahig bleiben konnen."
