Wendi also published a book of poetry. Wendi has two children and five grandchildren. She enjoys walking, fishing, bowling and studying the bible.

Dabei soll hauptsachlich das zweite Kapitel des Romans in den Blick der Betrachtung geruckt werden, da es in diesem um die Traume, also das Unbewusste, der Ich-Figur geht. Zunachst soll dargestellt werden, in wie fern sich der Roman am psychoanalytischen Prozess orientiert. Dann sollen Freuds Theorien zur Verdichtung vorgestellt, und uberpruft werden, in wie weit sie auf den Roman ubertragbar sind. Das nachste Kapitel beschaftigt sich mit der Zensurinstanz. Dem folgt eine Zusammenfassung von Freuds Uberlegungen zum Widerholungszwang, wobei wiederum versucht werden soll, diese auf den Roman zu ubertragen. Dasselbe geschieht auch im folgenden Kapitel uber den weiblichen Odipuskomplex. Am Ende der Arbeit soll aufgezeigt werden, dass Ingeborg Bachmann unter anderem beabsichtigt hat, mit ihrem Roman Kritik an den Uberlegungen Freuds zu uben und diese in Frage zu stellen. Dass sie mit ihnen vertraut war, steht in jedem Fall fest: Die bei Fischer erschienene Ausgabe der Freudschen Schriften in Bd.V, mit dem Titel Sexualleben," war ein Teil der Bibliothek, die sie fur die Todesarten-Reihe" verwendete. Hierdurch wird auch die Berechtigung dieser Arbeit unterstrichen.
