The mysterious Jakk Narros, self-proclaimed Pirate King and Free Man of the People has risen up in a series of raids to challenge their might. Somehow, despite Loidoreo's most powerful magicks and spies, Jakk Narros and his band have eluded all attempts at capture, defiantly raiding Loidoreo's tribute carvans both on the coasts and on land. Yet for all his defiance, Jakk has yet to be able to strike a decisive blow against his enemies and the Pirates Lords have been combining their power to draw the noose upon him once and for all. Yet a mysterious sorcerer wielding a staff of the Ancients appears now to him, claiming to be able to end the tyranny of the Pirate Lords once and for all if Jakk will throw in with him. In the midst of this, there are growing rumors of a schism between the Pirate Lords, of a split between the Emperor and his treacherous wife Jezebel, who seeks the to elevate herself above her husband in fierce power struggle that might bring down the Pirate Lords entire Empire.
