This study re-examines Morgan le Fay in early medieval and contemporary Arthurian sources, arguing that she embodies the concerns of each era even as she defies social and gender expectations. Hebert uses leFay as a lens to explore traditional ideas of femininity, monstrousness, resistance, identity, and social expectations for women and men alike.
In her first collection of plays, Olivier award-winning playwright and screenwriter Morgan Lloyd Malcolm's talent for writing complex female characters is on dazzling display. Belongings (2011): "Malcolm’s writing is sharp and witty but also very powerful in places. Her use of humour can be shocking but it helps to balance out the weighty issues being explored: guilt, gender and family politics, sex as both a commodity and a weapon. Touching, funny and brutal, this is – on many levels – an impressive first work." - ExeuntThe Wasp (2015): "Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s two-hander is sprung like a bear trap, a play with very sharp teeth." - The StageMum (2021): "Lloyd Malcolm, who resurrected a 17th-century feminist poet for her riotous 2018 hit Emilia, here spills the dark side of modern maternity: exhausted anxiety, love-hate co-dependency, what happens when your very worst fears come true." - Evening StandardWhen The Long Trick's Over (2022): "Grief can feel like drowning. And in Morgan Lloyd Malcolm’s play about a swimmer with the challenge to cross the Channel, it is voluminous." - GuardianThe Passenger (2021): Originally commissioned and produced by Shakespeare's Globe, this piece recounts the experience of the author's childhood terrors. A shadowy figure who follows. Has it followed us here? How will she escape him? The Passenger was staged as a part of the first Terrifying Women showcase at the Golden Goose Theatre, London, in October 2021.Morgan Lloyd Malcolm's play Emilia became a hit show in summer 2018 before transferring to the West End in 2019, winning three Olivier awards. Her adaptation of her play The Wasp completed filming at the end of 2022 starring Naomie Harris and Natalie Dormer and directed by Guillem Morales. Her play Belongings was shortlisted for the Charles Wintour Most Promising Playwright Award. She formed Terrifying Women with Abi Zakarian, Sampira and Amanda Castro in 2021 with an aim to producing more horror in theatre.

Works collected here include masterpieces by David Hume, Immanuel Kant, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, as well as religious sermons and moral debates on the issues of the day, such as the slave trade. The Age of Reason saw conflict between Protestantism and Catholicism transformed into one between faith and logic -- a debate that continues in the twenty-first century.++++The below data was compiled from various identification fields in the bibliographic record of this title. The cyclecar arrived in response to growing demand for ultra-cheap motoring in the early 1900s. The three-wheeled Morgan spearheaded this ‘New Motoring’ fashion in 1910 and went on to distinguish itself by out-performing and out-living all its rivals; no other dedicated cyclecar manufacturer managed to survive the onslaught of the Austin Seven and mass-production in the early 1920s by more than a year or two. Interrupted only by the world wars, Morgan three-wheelers were built from 1910 to 1952 and continue in production today after a renaissance in 2012. This book explores the origins of these charismatic motoring oddities, explains their workings and reflects on the family that created them. All models, ancient and modern, are described and Morgan’s noble three-wheeler sporting history is examined. The book also features many previously unpublished facts, figures and photographs. Having acquired his first Morgan, a four-wheeled 4/4, in 1998, Stephen Clark restored a very old, two-speed three-wheeler between 2005 and 2010 and has since driven it extensively in the UK and France. Complete with owner’s insights and drawing on his experience as the registrar and a director of the Morgan Three-Wheeler Club Ltd, this is a highly accessible and informative guide to this unusual and appealing vehicle.

Morgan le Fay, the sister of King Arthur, in most literature is portrayed as a witch. In this account she is a beautiful, brilliant, and talented woman, a leader and a mysterious presence. She is the austere Queen Morgan le Fay but in her alternate personality she is the charming Princess Ula. King Arthur, Merlyn and Queen Morgan le Fay rule Arthurian Britain. In a move to bring order out of the chaos of the Druidical religion, King Arthur and Queen Morgan le Fay travel to Rome. Queen Morgan le Fay to disguise herself takes on a third personality, as Carfus the scribe. In the battle in Rome, the scribe Carfus miraculously resumes the persona of Queen Morgan and leads the Britons to victory. They return to Britain with The Cup known as the Grail.
