Un celebre pianista aveva lasciato una ventina di quaderni in cui aveva appuntato memorie della sua vita e della sua carriera. Ovviamente in modo disordinato seguendo il flusso dei ricordi. Un comune amico mi ha 'incaricato' di ricompattarli e di 'tradurre' in linguaggio comprensibile i molti frammenti riguardanti la musica che erano scritti in tono strettamente tecnico e spesso in lingue straniere. Ci che mi ha colpito - oltre alla sincerit nella narrazione delle sue esperienze anche intime e al grande magistero artistico - stata la relazione discussa e 'cercata' fra musica e erotismo. Un'angolazione prospettica inconsueta e decisamente interessante. Il risultato probabilmente non consigliabile ai ragazzini. Ma non c' nessun compiacimento. L'autore parla con s stesso. Proprio per questo il livello letterario non contempla artifici e la narrazione 'diretta' ma non priva di momenti emozionanti. Istintivamente l'autore, ad esempio, narrando la sua fanciullezza torna a una specie di linguaggio infantile. Inoltre impiega spesso l'idioma veneziano il che d un tono di 'verit ' insostituibile. Insomma una 'confessione' umanamente di grande interesse. Musicalmente poi credo che le sue osservazioni abbiano molto da insegnare anche a noi musicisti professionisti. Gianfranco Plenizio
