A Reconstruction of the Old-Latin Text or Texts of the Gospels Used by Saint Augustine
Originally published in 1926, this book attempts to reconstruct the Old Latin text of the Bible used by St Augustine prior to his adoption of the Vulgate translation in the early fifth century. Milne compares the passages cited in Augustine's pre-Vulgate writings to those cited after the new Latin translation's publication and examines the extent to which Augustine continued to be influenced by the older version even in later writings. This book will be of value to anyone with an interest in Augustine, the transformation of church Latin or the history of biblical translation.

Frankenstein - Or, The Man and the Monster - A Stage Play (Fantasy and Horror Classics)
H. M. Milner was a hugely successful playwright, producing a great many melodramas and popular tragedies. His most notable work, The Man and The Monster; or The Fate of Frankenstein - a melodramatic adaptation of Mary Shelley's famous 1818 novel, Frankenstein - opened at the Royal Coberg Theatre in July of 1826. Many of the horror stories of monsters and ghouls, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. We are republishing these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
