The field of microbiology and biotechnology are intertwined since time immemorial however the ties between the two areas became prominent in the last century. The areas provided various products which enriched mankind in various ways mainly in the form of food and succeeded in producing medicines. There was no technology which provoked the humans to understand the mechanisms involved whilst using microbes. In previous millennia, microbes were utilized by humans for several needs; however there was no scope of understanding the machinery to the complete detail.The nineteenth century bore an outstanding scientist named Louis Pasteur who pioneered in industrial microbiology. His understanding of microbes laid a path to the other discoveries which made human life more comfortable and also increment in life span is clearly noticed. The fight against infectious diseases has progressed with the advancements in microbiology. The era of mass production of the microbial products initiated mainly with citric acid production. The Second World War provided an essentiality to understand the process of preservation of products in aseptic conditions.The economically viable products such as vaccines, cytokines, pharmaceuticals and foods were produced in a large scale due to advancements in genetic engineering in the seventies. The applied microbiology and biotechnology are playing a crucial role in dictating national economy, medicine, agriculture, environmental protection and pharmaceuticals. The main reason to devise this part of literature is to introduce and summarize the current state of knowledge which concerns microbial application in large scale production lines. O presente trabalho tem como finalidade saber se os educadores do pr escolar e os professores do primeiro ciclo est o cientificamente preparados para detetar sinais de Dislexia, identificando, avaliando e intervindo junto dos seus alunos no sentido de prevenirem e reduzirem essas dificuldades. Para o efeito, foram recolhidos dados de 1031 participantes, 342 educadores e 689 professores do primeiro ciclo da Zona Norte de Portugal a trabalharem em escolas P blicas, IPSS ou Privadas. O trabalho seguiu uma metodologia quantitativa com recurso ao question rio semiaberto, composto maioritariamente por perguntas fechadas.

Se inicia el proyecto con el diagn stico de la empresa, de la Comercializadora EP PETROECUADOR, su participaci n en el mercado de combustibles y la adquisici n de estaciones de servicios en las zonas de frontera; seguido se realiza el an lisis del marco te rico sobre el cual se desarrolla la Responsabilidad Social y la Norma ISO 26000, la identificaci n de los grupos de inter s. Este modelo de gesti n permite a la empresa tener una ventaja competitiva y demostrar con efectividad su rol como empresa del Estado, comprometida con el entorno social que lo rodea y la satisfacci n de los grupos de inter s con los que se relaciona. La parte final de este trabajo establece la propuesta de modelo de gesti n basada en la Norma y se presentan los beneficios proyectados para la empresa al implementar este modelo.
