La idea que se plantea en Ut pictura poesis: cfrasis en la Obra Rubendariana, es precisamente el funcionamiento del recurso ecfr stico, entendido como la descripci n visual de un objeto, en la obra de Rub n Dar o. La obra del poeta nicarag ense ha sido analizada desde muchas perspectivas, entre ellas, el sentido art stico con que Dar o representaba de manera escrita im genes de una belleza sublime. Por esa raz n, con esta investigaci n se ha querido profundizar en esa figura de la cfrasis, que Dar o entiende como "transposici n art stica", una forma de llevar Io legible a Io visible, para que el lector no solo pueda experimentar su poes a por su belleza ling stica, sem ntica y estil stica, sino tambi n semi tica y visual. Para ello, primero se ha hecho un breve repaso por el precepto horaciano UI pictura poesis (como la poes a, as es la pintura), su desarrollo a Io largo de los siglos y su relaci n estrecha con la cfrasis, tanto como su influencia en el Modernismo Literario, a fin de establecer un precedente claro y sustentar las diferentes formas en que se manifiesta el Ut pictura poesis y la cfrasis en una selecci n de la Obra Rubendariana.
