Information requirements have become a key element of consumer policy at the European level and are also gaining increasing importance in all other areas of private law. The law stipulates that information provided should not be misleading and also involves requirements regarding the fairness and objectivity of what has been provided. In addition to controlling the veracity of what is voluntarily offered by traders, the law increasingly requires disclosure of certain information. This volume focuses especially on the question of how these information requirements influence the party autonomy. International contributors explore in various contexts whether the legislative policy regarding the information requirements and their relationship to party autonomy has been properly thought through.

Since its first appearance in 1986, this magisterial work has won uniform praise from many of the world’s leading comparatists. It has been acclaimed by senior judges and has been cited by the courts of many countries. This new, substantially rewritten and systematically updated fifth edition of the work, contains over 95 leading judgments, most translated in their entirety, along with references to over 2,000 other decisions from Germany and the common law world. While the book remains an ideal tool for teaching comparative torts and comparative methodology, the fact that it has been extensively rewritten makes it an indispensable source of inspiration for those with a professional interest in tort litigation and tort law reform. This edition has paid particular attention to liability for internet activity, medical liability and the protection of personality rights and private life.

The Robin Hood of the Pulps Detective Sgt. Stephen Thatcher is the son of Police Chief Peter Thatcher. Sickened by the effects of the Great Depression on Great City, the young lawman cannot reconcile the rich society elite living the good life while across town the poor of Great City go hungry. In this get up he then proceed to rob the rich and give to the needy via his loyal aide, former boxer Ned "Angel" Dargan. He is also aided by the lovely Sue McEwen, the daughter of the man sworn to capture him, his own boss, Lt. Detective Gil McEwen.Created by pulp legend Frederick C. Davis, the Moon Man's exploits appeared in the pages of "Ten Detective Aces" and was a reader favorite. Now he returns to the streets of Great City in five new thrilling adventures written by writers Ken Janssens, Gary Lovisi, Erwin K.Roberts and Andrew Salmon. Pulpdom's most bizarre hero is back on the case with a cover by Rob Davis & Rich Woodall as well as twelve interior illustrations by Ralf Van Der Hoeven.

When the phenomenal success of GOD'S SMUGGLER made it too dangerous for his contacts in the underground church, Brother Andrew decided he could not return to Eastern Europe. He quietly turned his attention the the Middle East, and for the last thirty-five years he has been serving the Christian Church there, as well as witnessing to Jews and Muslims. His impassioned message is that there is a radical Christian approach to the stalemate of Middle East conflict. Only the gospel of love has the answer, and Christians are called to allow God to use them to demonstrate the example of Jesus. Now available with a fantastic new look to coincide with the B format edition of Brother Andrew's bestselling SECRET BELIEVERS, LIGHT FORCE brings Brother Andrew's story right up to date. It is every bit as exciting as GOD'S SMUGGLER, as Andrew has put his life on the line time and again in God's service.

For years, Christians have fled from the horrific conflict in the Middle East. Today, in the land where the church began, less than two percent of the people in Israel, West Bank and Gaza are Christians. Yet that remnant holds the hope for peace-if they can only persevere in faith and not be discouraged.Light Force is the remarkable story of Brother Andrew's mission to seek out the church in the Middle East, learn about its conditions and needs, and do whatever he can to strengthen what remains. Through dramatic true stories, readers get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at real people affected by the centuries-old conflicts in this volatile part of the world. Now available in paper, this gripping account of the church caught in the crossfire will captivate readers everywhere.
Tidigare utgiven under namnet Hemlig frihet

In his most incredible and eye-opening book to date, Brother Andrew invites you to meet brave men and women you never knew existed. This is the riveting true story of the Church in Islamic countries struggling to come to grips with hostile governments, terrorist acts, and an influx of Muslims coming to Christ. The names and places have been changed to protect the real people in the real places. But the stories are true. Now available in paperback, Secret Believers not only gives you a glimpse of the lives of these courageous believers, it also proposes four practical initiatives for Christians in the West to help these persecuted brothers and sisters. It calls us to join a new kind of jihad, leaving vengeance behind in favor of forgiveness, radical love, and unyielding prayer.
