This love story reflects the age-old battle between good and evil, a preoccupation of the philosophical body of the book; the connection between the narrative and the intellectual exposition may seem tenuous, but in fact the two pursue a parallel course, with the same goal: broadly speaking, the triumph of all things good over all things evil. About the Author Though widely known as the re-incarnation of Christ, the author insists on being called Anthony Hill - the name with which he was christened - since a new body requires a new identity. He finds his own salvation, as well as man's, in the writing of this series of books - the creative 'stream of consciousness'.
A New Religion for A New World: A Psychological Exposition

Designed for a new world defined by the approaching Psychological Age, the new religion embraces many ideas, some traditional, some revolutionary, which are collated into a faith that is largely based on the original Christianity as taught by Christ two thousand years ago, but which has been all but obliterated by the mainstream church. In this brief summary the author outlines his scheme for one religion - the Christian - in which the other world faiths are integrated; this is not a new, or untried, idea, but Hill's approach is original and radical, while being rigorously argued. Many will say such a project is impossible, that religious differences are too great and irreconcilable, but this author, himself a prophet with great experience and knowledge gained by a lifetime's search for enlightenment, has produced a successful analysis of the World Psyche, consisting of the Eastern and Western mentalities taken together.
Religious and Ethnic Violence: its Origins in Psychological Typology

Religious and Ethnic Violence Particularly applicable to the present turmoil in the Middle East, this book analyses the psychological and typological sources of religious and ethnic violence occurring throughout history, whilst supplying the only possible solution; though concentrating on religious conflict it also includes, by implication, ethnic conflict, religion being reflective of its ethnic background. Humorous anecdotes A collection of humorous stories, some of which contains a moral. About the Author Whilst being the re-incarnation of Christ, and widely known as such, the author insists on being called Anthony Hill - the name by which he was christened - since a new body requires a new identity. He finds his own salvation, as well as man's, in the writing of this series of books - the creative 'stream of consciousness'.
On starting Self-Redemption, the author was inspired to write about the 'hidden self', or the unconscious mind, but, on journeying into it, he discovered that he was more concerned with the transference between the conscious and unconscious minds, and, even more, with the transformation of evil into good; hence the title, Self-Redemption. Following the author's instructions, man can, by his own efforts, attain the freedom from human weakness and mortal limitations that is the unacknowledged goal of true religious experience. Erotic Excerpts is dedicated to two prostitutes - each a 'tart with a heart' - who unknowingly, and independently, gave birth to the Son of God, his brief association with each of these women being greatly advantageous to his course of Enlightenment; their warmth, and nobility of spirit, indirectly enabled him to finally acknowledge his own identity in the re-incarnation of Christ.

This pamphlet is a brief summary of the work, to date, of Anthony Wakefield Hill. Hill's writings are partly philosophical and partly psychological, though there is barely any difference, and are of particular interest to the general reader; his subject matter is encyclopaedic, one of his works being The Knowledge of Everything, and he deals variously with the four pillars of existence: art, religion, philosophy and science. The Psychological Age is upon us, making the Physical Age redundant; it was trumpeted initially by C.G. Jung and G.I. Gurdjieff and is now fully substantiated in Hill's many books.
Throughout his book the author seeks to condemn all forms of obscenity and to promote the original innocence of sexuality, which he analyses psychologically, metaphysically and physiologically; explicit language and explicit images are used in order to convey the Anglo-Saxon concepts of sex in their original form, and by taking the reader back in time Hill hopes to reintroduce to a decadent society the initial reality of love. Perhaps the ultimate purpose of so doing is to create life in the world where until now there has been none, for throughout history man has been asleep, contained in the womb of nature's unity; despite the separation of opposites in ancient times, the state of unity has persisted in man, and unconsciousness still rules civilisation. By using explicit terms and references the author intends to shock humanity into consciousness-and thus life-for the first time. In addition, the age-old problem of Good and Evil is examined, analysed and resolved. Anthony Wakefield Hill is a prophet of love, and expressly opposed to 'sex', which in the case of most people cannot exist without love.He has pursued a lifetime's course of compassionate enlightenment with the chief aim of re-discovering the purity of sexuality in order to restore it to a hapless world, his knowledge having been won at great expense to himself over fifty years' involvement in the vicious Battle of Life.

Mathematical Foundations of Imaging, Tomography and Wavefield Inversion
Anthony J. Devaney
Cambridge University Press
2012
sidottu
Inverse problems are of interest and importance across many branches of physics, mathematics, engineering and medical imaging. In this text, the foundations of imaging and wavefield inversion are presented in a clear and systematic way. The necessary theory is gradually developed throughout the book, progressing from simple wave equation based models to vector wave models. By combining theory with numerous MATLAB based examples, the author promotes a complete understanding of the material and establishes a basis for real world applications. Key topics of discussion include the derivation of solutions to the inhomogeneous and homogeneous Helmholtz equations using Green function techniques; the propagation and scattering of waves in homogeneous and inhomogeneous backgrounds; and the concept of field time reversal. Bridging the gap between mathematics and physics, this multidisciplinary book will appeal to graduate students and researchers alike. Additional resources including MATLAB codes and solutions are available online at www.cambridge.org/9780521119740.
Growing Up with Unemployment

The transition from school to work is recognized by developmental psychologists as a significant phase in maturation of young people. In the 1990s the likelihood that the transition might be delayed by a period of prolonged unemployment was greater than any time since the 1930s. The psychological consequences of such a delay need to be understood because they may be damaging to both the individual and to society, particularly if they are long-lasting. Such an understanding is essential for the development of sound policy in relation to youth unemployment.Originally published in 1993, Growing up with Unemployment describes a major longitudinal study of a large group of South Australian school leavers through the 1980s. It assesses the scale and context of the problem and reviews the methods and theories that have been developed to study the psychological impact of unemployment. It also looks at those factors which may contribute towards helping young people cope with it, such as financial security, social support and being involved in constructive activities with other people. The authors also examine how we might be able to predict future unemployment and understand the relationship between it and alcohol consumption, smoking and drug use. This book describes a major study with important implications for employment policy, as well as future theory and research. This title will be interesting historical reading for students of psychology and social policy, policy makers and all those who deal with young people.

This is one of the most thorough and comprehensive studies of workplace stress among university staff ever undertaken. The authors of this book have done a great service to higher education throughout the world by their systematic research and insights. On behalf of the academic community at large, I would like to thank the authors of this remarkable book. -- Cary L. Cooper, Ph.D., CBE Pro Vice Chancellor (External Relations) and Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health at Lancaster University, A variety of changes to academic working conditions have resulted in an increase in occupational stress and a decrease in occupational wellbeing among university academics as well as nonacademic, or general, staff. This book releases for the first time the complete results of the Australian University Staff Stress (AUSS) Project, which examined over a number of years the level, extent, and antecedents of occupational stress experienced by staff, and the consequences on individuals and universities.
