Amelie(pseudonimo), riesce dopo un breve trattamento fatto dall'autore ad avere dei moglioramenti al punto tale da uscire dall'ospedale ed andare a vivere in un appartamento indipendente in Francia nella citta di Macon. L'incontro casuale con l'autore quando era uscita dall'ospedale, in un bar sulla saone, fiume che attraversa la citta, e la succesiva lettera ricevuta al suo rientro a Roma lo spingera, a mettere insieme e pubblicare gli appunti presi durante il trattamento. Nel testo viene descritto il metodo clinico e spiegato l'uso di alcuni importanti testi di personalita

Un romanzo da leggere che richiama i valori autentici della vita fortemente intonato all'amicizia e alla fatalita del destino.
