To the best of our knowledge, the equality of CAF + EMD and CAF + FCTG regarding complete root coverage in Miller class I and II recession-type defects is still uncertain. Aim: The aim of the current paper is to compare the effect of CAF + EMD versus CAF + FCTG regarding complete root recession coverage. Thereby, equality on the longer term of both therapeutic options is hypothesized (H0- hypothesis).Materials and methods: Three reviewers searched independently within the electronic database Pubmed/Medline. Only RCTs reporting quantitative data for the outcome variable percentage complete root coverage (%CRC) for the therapeutic options CAF + EMD or CAF + FCTG were considered. Additionally a manual search in the reference lists of all included publications was accomplished.Results: After electronical and manual search for relevant studies, the three independent reviewers (DZ, TU, AL) screened 552 titles, resulting in 102 abstracts and 41 full-texts. Eventually, twenty-five papers could be included for meta-analysis. By comprehensively comparing data from RCTs for the outcome variable "percentage complete root coverage", statistically significant weighted mean differences in favor of CAF + FCTG were found at 6, 12 and 24 months. Introduction: Dislodging from the root canals is the most common failure of bonded fiber restorations. Self-adhesive system has the advantage of reduced cementation procedure. The aim of this study was to evaluate the bond strengths of fiber posts with three different self-adhesive/resin systems to coronal and apical thirds of the post space dentine Materials and methods: Thirty freshly extracted single-root human teeth were selected for this study. The specimens were then randomly divided into 3 subgroups each containing 10 samples. Fiber posts (RelyX, 3M, ESPE, UK) were inserted into canals using RelyX Unicem 3M ESPE, St. Paul, MN, USA), G-Cem (GC Corporation, Tokyo, Japan) and Maxcem Elite (Kerr Hawe Neos Orange, CA, USA) adhesives. Two disc shaped sections perpendicular to the long axis of each root sample were obtained for push-out tests. Failure load value was recorded. Statistical analysis was performed using One-way ANOVA and Kruskall- Wallis tests. Results: RelyX Unicem exhibited the highest mean push-out bond strength values at the coronal section of all samples. G-Cem exhibited higher push-out bond strength values at apical section The overall bonding data of RelyX Unicem was also observed to be the highest among groups. Cream is a valuable dairy product used both freshly and in preparation of foodstuffs, especially pastry. Although it is obtained from heat-processed milk, it may contain high number of microorganisms. This microflora affects average life of cream and cream-products that are extremely suitable for microbial growth. This study is conducted to research efficacy of nisin and lysozyme from natural antimicrobials to improve stability of cream used in the pastry industry. For this purpose, nisin (12.5mg/L) and lysozyme (500mg/L) were added as permitted by the regulatory requirements. The prevalence of dental caries in primary teeth in most world countries is very high. That is strange, to say the least, İs dental caries is a preventable disease. Why is a preventable disease so prevalent? The answer is related, among others, to socio-economic status, level of education of the mother and cultural habits of the children. What research has told us is that placing restorations is not the answer to the abundance of cavities present in these children. Dental caries is a sugar-driven biofilm-related disease that can be controlled through following a healthy life-style. Removal of dental biofilm regularly from tooth surfaces is known to reduce the prevalence of dental carious lesions. Controlling the dental biofilm is, therefore, paramount important in the fight against the development of carious lesions. This implies that removal of biofilm from within cavities can be a successful treatment in controlling carious lesion progression. Suitable cavities should be accessible, the pulp be healthy and symptomless and the biofilm should be removed daily. That requires understanding, practice, assistance from parents and support from dentists. This treatment has been researched and found having merits but more studies are needed to fully understand when and when not to apply this cavity treatment in children's primary teeth.
