I Am Waiting for When I Forget I Have Alzheimer's Disease

This is a different type of book on Alzheimer's. There are no claims on how to prevent this dementia. There are no claims on how to cure Alzheimer's. In a cancer diagnosis, the patient can fight and win. In Alzheimer's, no one has fought and won. Don't fight, have fun. The patient's time is limited, so instead of looking for false nostrums, look on how you can improve your relationships with people and socialize. This book is not about the futility of treating Alzheimer's. I will leave that to the many trials that have been done. This book is about how I adjusted to the shock of the diagnosis and then went on to live the best life I possibly could.

Volume 5 of the Inspired Art Coloring Books SeriesA lot of my art is inspired by my environments. I like asking people what kind of animals they like, places I hang out at, or seeing a flowering tree. The world is an amazing place. I hope that you find my images as beautiful as I do, while creating them. Depending on your background, culture, mind set, you might see something completely different within each image. My art style was created over 25 years ago, inspired by the old method of creating silk screens. It is amazing to me that we can create such wonderful images out of pieces. That our minds can connect individual lines and merge them into these wonderful pieces of art. As I developed my style, it became how I say the energy and flow of things. An underlying base of life. People see many different cultural and artistic influences from around the world in my art. It makes my heart warm when I hear all the different things people see in my style. In some of my images the negative space is the focus of the drawing, so when you are coloring don't limit yourself to only coloring in the lines. There is no wrong way to color. Let the colors flow how it feels right to you. Some people don't see what I intended the image to be seen and instead find wonderful things I didn't see until they pointed them out to me. Each page can be cut out and framed so you can display your colored creations.I have included a page at the end of the book to test how your crayons, markers, pens, pencils, and any other medium you wish to use for bleed and look. Because of the paper weight, colored pencils are recommended. Markers will need a sheet of cardstock or a few pieces of paper under the page you are coloring to prevent possible bleed-thru onto the next art page.Feel free to visit my Author's page to see more of my books.ThanksBrian Scott

In 1998, the South Carolina Department of Archives and History published a guide to the state's historical markers. At that time, there were approximately 800 markers in the state. History Happened Here: South Carolina's Roadside Historical Markers is the first time a print listing has been completed since 1998. Documenting 1,446 markers in the South Carolina roadside marker system, this book includes the text, title, GPS coordinates, and all of the other information needed to locate each marker in South Carolina.
What happens when you look at the history of a location one day at a time? That is what historian and author Brian Scott wanted to learn so he took a look at his own hometown for the answer. Anderson County: A Year in the Life chronicles the events of a rural county in South Carolina. From the treaty that established its borders, to the dedication of courthouses and the execution of criminals, Anderson has seen it all. Murders, suicides, and arsonists. Fairs, parades, and galas. Here are over one hundred stories, one for each day from January 1 to June 30 that tell the story of Anderson County: A Year in the Life.
The Long Cane Massacre took place February 1, 1760. Nearly half of the Calhoun family was killed and over two dozen bodies are buried in a mass grave near Troy, South Carolina. This book tells that story for the first time and places it in the context of the events that surrounded it.
May 1, 1865: An accidental meeting between cadets and Federal troops resulted in the last land battle of the Civil War east of the Mississippi. Just a few hours later, in the midst of Anderson, SC's annual May Day festival, over two thousand Federal troops invaded and occupied Anderson. For three days, the town was held hostage as leading citizens were tortured, buildings were ransacked, and a supply of wine kept the soldiers' fires from burning the town. The battle and occupation claimed the lives of four men, including one African-American.
