Die individuelle berwachung seines Glukosespiegels beruht auf wiederholten Messungen des kapillaren Blutzuckerspiegels mit einem Teststreifen. Die Zuverl ssigkeit der Methode in klinischen Umgebungen ist jedoch fraglich. Ziel unserer Studie war es, festzustellen, ob die Blutzuckermessung mit einem Blutzuckermessger t in der Notaufnahme akzeptabel ist, wie es in einigen Gesundheitszentren der Fall ist. Die Studie wurde in einer medizinischen Intensivstation ber einen Zeitraum von drei Monaten durchgef hrt. Bei 100 Notfallpatienten wurde der kapillare Blutzucker mit dem Blutzuckermessger t gemessen und mit dem ven sen Blutzucker verglichen, der im Labor aus dem Blut derselben Patienten gemessen wurde. Die Korrelationstests zwischen den beiden Methoden wurden mit der Sigma Plot Statistical Analysis Software 2001 durchgef hrt. Unsere Ergebnisse zeigten, dass es eine schlechte relative Korrelation zwischen dem kapillaren und dem ven sen Blutzuckerspiegel gab. Abschlie end k nnen wir sagen, dass die Ergebnisse der Kapillarglyk mie auf Intensivstationen mit Vorsicht interpretiert werden sollten, da einige F lle von Hypoglyk mie f lschlicherweise als normal diagnostiziert werden k nnen.

Individual monitoring of glucose levels is based on repeated capillary blood glucose strip measurements. However, the reliability of this method in clinical settings is questionable. The aim of our study was to determine whether blood glucose levels measured by glucometer are acceptable in emergency departments, as is the case in some health centres. The study was conducted in a medical intensive care unit over a period of 03 months. Capillary blood glucose was measured with a glucometer in 100 patients admitted to the emergency department, compared with venous blood glucose measured in the laboratory on blood taken from the same patients. Correlation tests between the two methods were performed using Sigma Plot Statistical Analysis Software 2001. Our results showed that there was a poor relative correlation between capillary and venous blood glucose levels. In conclusion, we can say that capillary blood glucose results should be interpreted with caution in intensive care settings, as some cases of hypoglycaemia may be falsely diagnosed as normal.

Il monitoraggio individuale dei livelli di glucosio si basa su misurazioni ripetute di strisce di glucosio nel sangue capillare. Tuttavia, l'affidabilit di questo metodo in ambito clinico discutibile. Lo scopo del nostro studio stato quello di determinare se i livelli di glucosio nel sangue misurati con il glucometro sono accettabili nei reparti di emergenza, come avviene in alcuni centri sanitari. Lo studio stato condotto in un'unit di terapia intensiva medica per un periodo di 03 mesi. La glicemia capillare stata misurata con un glucometro in 100 pazienti ricoverati nel reparto di emergenza, confrontata con la glicemia venosa misurata in laboratorio su sangue prelevato dagli stessi pazienti. I test di correlazione tra i due metodi sono stati eseguiti utilizzando il software di analisi statistica Sigma Plot 2001. I risultati hanno mostrato una scarsa correlazione relativa tra i livelli di glucosio nel sangue capillare e venoso. In conclusione, possiamo affermare che i risultati della glicemia capillare devono essere interpretati con cautela in terapia intensiva, poich alcuni casi di ipoglicemia possono essere falsamente diagnosticati come normali.

O objetivo do nosso estudo foi determinar se os n veis de glicemia medidos por gluc metro s o aceit veis nos servi os de urg ncia, como acontece em alguns centros de sa de. O estudo foi realizado numa unidade de cuidados intensivos m dicos durante um per odo de 03 meses. A glicemia capilar foi medida com um gluc metro em 100 pacientes admitidos no servi o de urg ncia e comparada com a glicemia venosa medida em laborat rio com sangue colhido dos mesmos pacientes. Foram efectuados testes de correla o entre os dois m todos utilizando o programa Sigma Plot Statistical Analysis Software 2001. Os nossos resultados mostraram uma fraca correla o relativa entre a glicemia capilar e a glicemia venosa. Em conclus o, podemos dizer que os resultados da glicemia capilar devem ser interpretados com cautela em ambientes de cuidados intensivos, uma vez que alguns casos de hipoglicemia podem ser falsamente diagnosticados como normais.

This book examines the problem of the lack of employability among graduates of higher education in sub-Saharan Africa, and specifically in Cameroon, whose architecture is still underpinned by the old binary training-employment model, even though it should be structured around the paradigm derived from the referentialization of training courses, as advocated by the LMD system since its introduction in 2007. It examines the phenomenon of referentialization in the context of the development of university vocational training programs and employability, while postulating that if Cameroonian higher vocational education applied a referentialization system to all its training, it might result in the successful employability of its graduates.
