the Saga of Bridget and Amanda' brings the descendants of my heroins up through and to the Revolutionary war where many historical characters risk everything to bring freedom to the American people. You will not want to miss the excitement.
This book is a historical novel in which my two heroines blend into the lives of many actual historical women who did heroic things to help America starting with the Pilgrims and covering many years of history and progress, overcoming many conflicts.
When I decided to write a book for Scarlett, it had to be about her favorite bird, the Owl. I knew little about them, so had to research them. I planned at first that I, as an artist, would illustrate the book. I then realized that, even though I am an animal artist, I would find the owls very difficult. Then I remembered my dear friend, Roberta Davis, who I knew could do a fantastic job. So I called her and happily she agreed to do the illustration. My job, surprisingly, would be the easy one. I knew I had to accomplish three things. 1. Who would be my heroin, 2. what would her problem be, and 3. how would it be solved. When these three were solved, I knew I had to have a lesson in self-faith taught to Ally. Being computer illiterate, I spent months trying to link the pictures to my story line. Not having a program that would do this, I had to find another way. Finally, it all came together and we are both very happy with the results.
"a fascinating novel with well-drawn...stoic and determined heroines..."In this, the first of four volumes, Carole Love-Forbes introduces us to those prominent women in American history... that we never knew. From herfascination with the women behind, beside and around the shakers and movers of early American life from the earliest colonies to the RevolutionaryWar emerged the Saga of Bridget and Amanda. Her research changed her view and understanding of American history. Being a fan of stories about kings and queens, she thought American history would be boring. She admits to the contrary. Her newfound infatuation with the women whose untold stories and unsung heroism meant their lives needed to be brought to light. Their dramatic life adventures, though rarely acknowledged, helped shape this nation. Enjoy the rich tapestry Carole Love-Forbes, weaves from the interesting and varied characters that populate the villages, towns, ports and seagoing vessels in this saga.

What would you do if you had a pet with talent? Well, since I am a writer I decided to put out a book about her. I will be mean and not tell you what she did that was different. You will have to read the book. It will be easy though because there are a lot of nice pictures, some of them, like the cover, I have painted. Have fun.Carole always had artistic talent, but her early days were spent in the musical theatre. She had roles in 'Funny Girl' and 'Cabaret' where she got to play Signe Hasso's leading role, and got to do her role for a whole week in Chicago. Both shows were the first national tours done by the Broadway producers and directors. Even then people like Pearl Bailey told her she should be writing. Then many yeas later when she had a home, a husband and a computer she started writing. What inspired her was a teacher of women in history. She wrote the book and lo and behold she was not up to the history of the war. She finished in four books.
Book three continues the lives of Bridget and her daughter and grand daughter. The family in the north become involved in Philips War and the defeat of the Wampanoag people. Amanda's family grows with her daughter, Manda. The history starts in 1670.
When I decided to write another book for Scarlett, my brother's granddaughter, it had to be about her new favorite, the Giraffe. I knew little about them, so I had to research them. I knew my book had to have a lesson in trust taught to Aezia's baby. I planned at first that I, as an artist, I would illustrate the book. I soon realized that, I would find the giraffe and the story very difficult. Then I remembered my dear friend and brother, Gary Love, who I knew could do a fantastic job. So I called him and happily he agreed to create draft illustrations using his experience with computer graphics. Being computer illiterate, I spent months with my brother drafting pictures to match my story line. Finally, it all came together and we are both very happy with the results. After many years of acting, Carole finally listened to others and decided to start writing. At age 79 she began by writing a four-book novel about women in early American history. Her next book, 'It's Ally's Turn' came as a surprise to her as it was a book for children. Now at 90, Carole, has finished 'Saving Alezia's Baby' and completed several other science fiction books she had in mind, a startling adult adventure named 'A Bartender's Holiday' and a space audacy named 'The New Planet'. Currently, she is finishing her autobiography, 'Tale ofa Cockeyed Optimist'.Her brother, Gary, is a retired scientist with many technical pubications. At 79, this is his first children's book collaborating with Carole. He revised and simplified her story and prepared drafts of all ilustrations for completion by a professional artist.

Information is totally important no matter what you are involved in. When I decided to become a singer I just jumped in. I was blessed in getting a great voice teacher, but you can really be in trouble when you get a bad teacher and have your throat damaged and your hopes destroyed. I wrote this book to give prospective singers information which will help you on your road to success.
