Documentation of species has been made through field tours and species reported by earlier workers has been cited in the book. Taxonomic revision on genus Boswellia comprises 2 species in India. Identification, description, photographs and conservation issues of all species provided in this book. Taxonomic revision of Indian Eriolaena comprises 7 taxa of which, 5 species and 2 varieties throughout the India. The detailed description, artificial key, mapping and photographs of all species provide for easy identification. The present study is a comprehensive treatment of two genera Boswellia and Eriolaena in India based on literature, specimens deposited in herbaria and live collections. Diabetes mellitus (DM) ist ein gro es und wachsendes Problem der ffentlichen Gesundheit in der ganzen Welt, mit einer gesch tzten weltweiten Pr valenz von 415 Millionen Menschen im Jahr 2015, die bis 2040 auf 642 Millionen Menschen ansteigen soll. Es gibt haupts chlich zwei Arten von DM, Typ 1 und Typ 2, wobei ber 90-95 % der Patienten an Typ 2 DM (T2DM) leiden. Oxidativer Stress und Entz ndungen sind die wichtigsten Faktoren, die an den kardiovaskul ren Komplikationen bei Patienten mit T2DM beteiligt sind. Es h ufen sich die Hinweise darauf, dass biologisch aktive Komponenten in funktionellen Lebensmitteln als erg nzende Behandlung f r T2DM eingesetzt werden k nnen. Phenole aus zahlreichen Lebensmitteln und Getr nken wurden aktiv als potenzielle Behandlung f r verschiedene Stoffwechsel- und Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen untersucht.
