Ausgewhlte Fragen der deutschen Zeitgeschichte in visuellen Quellen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die (Geschichts-)Forschung hat in den letzten Jahrzehnten eine Flle an Publikationen hervorgebracht, die sich beschftigen mit der Fotografie, als solcher' und mit der Frage der Verwendbarkeit von Fotografien als historische Quellen. Philosophische Anstze existieren neben praktisch orientierten. "Der Macht und der Masse der Bilder nicht nur mit kulturkritischer Resignation zu begegnen ist eine gesellschaftliche Aufgabe, der sich auch die Geschichtswissenschaft nicht entziehen darf." Gegenstand der Untersuchungen ist oft auch die Frage, inwiefern sich das Medium Fotografie verwenden lsst, um mit seiner Hilfe Geschichte zu, veranschaulichen'. Besonders problematisch erscheint ein unreflektierter Umgang mit Fotografien, wenn diese zur, Veranschaulichung' nationalsozialistischer Geschichte herangezogen werden. Gerhard Paul konstatiert: "Nicht aus der Analyse von Reden und programmatischen Schriften, nicht mit den Mitteln der Ideologiekritik lt sich das Wesen des deutschen Faschismus erfassen, sondern aus seinen ffentlichen Bildern und Inszenierungen." Weiterhin heit es bei ihm: "Da die Bilder von damals nicht begriffen sind, werden sie kritiklos tradiert und mit ihnen ihre emotionale Faszinationskraft und die in ihnen enthaltenen Deutungs- und Orientierungsmuster. Visuell ist der Faschismus keineswegs tot." Inwiefern nationalsozialistische Deutungsmuster dadurch tradiert werden, dass Fotografien zur bloen, Veranschaulichung' von Geschichte herangezogen werden, whrend eine differenzierte Analyse der Wirkungsmacht der Fotografie sowie von ihrem, Status' (vor allem innerhalb des Gesamtzusammenhangs, welcher in der Regel au
