It's summertime, and Concetta Germino is treating her son David and his family to a fabulous first-ever trip to Italy so she can share with them the mouth-watering cuisine, beautiful scenery, historic cities, and warm-hearted people of the country she left behind as a young woman. But their vacation takes an astonishing turn when it becomes apparent, everywhere they go, that just as Concetta has not forgotten Italy, Italy has not forgotten her. Or, at least, Italy has not forgotten "The Contessa," the one true love of the handsome Conte Raffaele Cadama. Their family vacation quickly becomes a fascinating tale of Concetta's hidden past and her incredible life in Italy and beyond.
A lighthearted and irreverent guide to the experiences and habits of people in the afterlife shares a medium's perspectives on whether or not the dead are always with us and whether they observe our special moments and private lives. Original. 30,000 first printing.
Born November 18, 1953 in Newark, New Jersey Concetta is the middle child of three children. She has communicated with the 'other side' since childhood. Initially, imaginary play mates and an over active imagination were blamed. As a teen, she was labeled a misguided child. Concetta's first significant recollection of an experience with the Other Side was at age ten. She hid her abilities by attempting to live a normal life. As Concetta helped others, her husband's respect and admiration nurtured Concetta's confidence. Since then, she left her main stream job, answered her true calling and became a full-time medium. The gift which initially was so troublesome has become her guide in life. Instead of rejecting and resisting, Concetta has embraced her abilities and has learned to share this glorious gift with others. Now, in her latest book Concetta will deliver even more answers to both poignant questions about the fate and happiness of loved ones who have crossed to the other side, as well as answering the naughtier and more provocative questions we really want to ask a medium but are far too polite or skeptical to ask.
Psychic medium Concetta Bertoldi knows how it is: Heaven is perfection. Life on Earth is the tough part. It's here we need to meet challenges, learn lessons, and grow spiritually even as we cope with our sense of aloneness and not enough-ness or the loss of a loved one. Through all of this our guardian angels, those who have crossed to the Other Side - or the dead guys, as Concetta calls them - offer us loving, behind the scenes assistance. In her latest book, Concetta explains the importance of the agreements we make with God before being born into a new physical life; gives advice on coping with life's difficult issues, from relationships to a lack of abundance, to illness and aging, and coping with loss, as well as ways anyone can get more in touch with the Other Side and call on their own angels for help.

African Americans have viewed literacy as a key to upward mobility and freedom since before America’s Reconstruction Era. However, African American’s academic achievement continues to be plagued by the ever-widening achievement gap especially when their literacy skills are measured by standardized assessments that do not consider or value their culture, their experiences It is common to think that this is an issue in K-12 settings. However, research and practical experiences suggest that African American students’ achievement continues to be affected at the post-secondary level where they are likely to be taught by faculty who have limited experience with the nuances of Black English (or African American Vernacular English AAVE). This book steps into that gap by offering a resource for teaching speakers of AAVE at the post-secondary level.

His friends Big Foot and Saber were getting very excited about racing on the "Tricky Triangle" and were all ready to sign-up The race cars heard many stories about how "tricky" the Pocono Raceway really was. All the race cars were ready for the big event. As the Pace Car left the track they all sped off gaining more speed. BoBo was entering his final lap when all of a sudden he was faced with a VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM
