Will of the Volga is the sixth of my novels spinning the stories of the struggles of different German families and their many descendants, as they emigrated ever farther and farther away from the old homeland. This story begins in Kr ffelbach, a two days ride northeast of Frankfurt, Germany. A miller, Philipp Will and his wife Anna Veronica Holland, wonder if the rains will ever stop. Thankfully, they do, but the resulting flood washes away their mill and everything else they own. That storm would change their lives, and the lives of many others, forever. As you move through the pages of the next 154 years, you will meet many more additional characters spinning out their lives. Meine Frau Betty und ich reisten als eine bis zum vergangenen November als unser Herrgott genannt, als meine Frau ging auf in den Himmel, neben ihm zu gehen, w hrend ich hinter dem Pfad Gott alleine weiter nach unten. Ein paar Tage vor meiner lieben Frau Betty bergeben, nachdem er nicht in der Lage zu sprechen oder zu bewegen, f r viele Tage sie pl tzlich drehte sich um und sprach sich klar und deutlich, "Sie haben das Schreiben ihrer B cher zu behalten " "Sie haben das Schreiben Ihrer B cher zu behalten " Verbl fft war ich sprachlos f r einen Augenblick... und dann sagte ihr, ich w rde, und dass ich versprochen. Ich sagte ihr mehr, in der Hoffnung, dass sie wieder sprechen w rde. Ich nie ein anderes Wort von meiner Frau Betty geh rt. Eine Woche nach ihrem Tod, verzweifelt nach mir etwas am Leben zu halten, stie ich auf diesen Bibelvers (Jeremia 30:2): "Dies ist, was der Herr, der Gott Israels: .
