Musings of a Minnesota Mountain Man Volume 1: Reflections is a collection of my poems and stories, of events most of us experienced growing up, as well as my thoughts and observations about life. It addresses subject matter appropriate for all audiences. The impossibility of separating one's writing from one's personal experience makes it likely that certain poems herein bear resemblance to actual events and/or real people. But this is a fictional work, the characters and events mere products of the writer's overactive imagination. DZ August 23, 2017 Carson G. writes: "I've been reading Z's unprecedented poetry for the better part of 20 years now. It is always brilliant, evocative, unorthodox, gently-iconoclastic and mercifully insightful. It often makes me laugh, sometimes helps me cry, and regularly tends to both upset me when I'm complacent and calm me when I'm damnably in need of restraint. I always read it, but often not until I can do so in the privacy of my own innermost needy confusion. Z's poetry is better than whistling in the dark, shouting from a soapbox, carrying the big stick or shooting from the hip. It is street-level solace; humbly clarifying the outrageously-overlooked obviously-omnipotent."
