REDEMPTION AT TRINITY The Rim rebellion was glorious—and doomed from the start. Brilliant Rim Confederation Navy space ship captain Jared Clement skuttled his career and professional life by joining the rebels against the overwhelming force of the 5 Suns Alliance. The rebel cause was just. That didn’t matter. Ten years later, Clement regrets nothing, but would prefer to be left alone to his thoughts and drink. But a new chance to command a ship of incredible potential is thrust in his lap—humanity’s first truly faster-than-light vessel. The destination: Trinity, a newly discovered star system where strange signs of possible space farers may lead to humanity’s first alien encounter. Or to interstellar war. Humanity is on the brink of a new age, and everything depends on one crusty star ship captain, his gritty crew, and the Beauregard, a ship that was never meant to wage war turned into a weapon-bristling battleship that will either propel humanity to ultimate destruction—or into a new starfaring age of exploration and conflict. And along the way, a noble lost cause—one Captain Jared Clement—may finally get his revenge. And find his redemption. About Dave Bara: “. . . fun, fast, and proper science fiction, where the stakes are big and things matter.”—New York Times best-selling author Simon R. Green on Dave Bara’s Lightship Chronicles Series “This energetic mélange of tried-and-true elements—futuristic jargon, military and romantic tactics, and multiple levels of skullduggery—easily grabs the reader’s attention; more impressive is that Bara’s story holds that attention all the way to the end.” —Publishers Weekly on The Lightship Chronicles Series “Bara manages to ramp up the depth and complexity of his world while retaining that sense of excitement, suspense, and adventure.” —Barnes & Noble Sci Fi & Fantasy Blog

Jared Clement has returned to Trinity, not as a mere ship captain but now as a 5 Suns Fleet Admiral. With his promotion comes increased responsibility that weighs heavy on his shoulders. 30,000 settlers are leaving the dying planets of the Rim, his home, and resettling next to the natives of the planet Bellus. Clement is responsible for those lives and the lives of the natives, Trinity’s children, and for building a better future for them all. But when his migrant fleet arrives in the Trinity system, they are faced with enemies both old and new. Former Fleet Admiral Elara DeVore has escaped her exile on the planet Alphus and has vanished into parts unknown. Soon, however, Clement discovers she has a new fleet and a new ally, the Solar League from Earth. The Solar League has arrived with a massive fleet and plans on taking Trinity for itself, then forcing the 5 Suns to surrender. With just a small military fleet to accompany the migrants, Clement is faced with the almost impossible task of defending both his people and the natives from becoming slaves of the Solar League. About Trinity: “[A] rousing. . . far-future tale, taking hard-drinking former Rim Confederacy Navy Capt. Jared Clement of the gunship Beauregard into a whopper of a galactic confrontation. . . . [with] Clement’s rebirth as an idealistic military commander, leading to breathless Horatio Hornblower–type ship-to-ship action updated into a Star Trek–like environment. . . [with] plenty of fun, derring-do, and even some tension-relieving fraternization will keep readers invested in Clement and crew. This is an entertaining escape from the here and now.”—Publishers Weekly About Dave Bara: “. . . fun, fast, and proper science fiction, where the stakes are big and things matter.”—New York Times best-selling author Simon R. Praise for Trinity’s Children: "As with the first book, the characters here are outstanding and fascinating, and their relationships are dynamic. It's a fun and diverse group, and Clement makes a great lead . . . Fans of series like David Weber's Honor Harrington, Jack Campbell's Lost Fleet, Orson Scott Card's Ender Saga, and Timothy Zahn's many space operas will all want to check this out. It could be their next new series love." —Analog SF&F About Trinity: "Trinity is a knockout read. Imagine if James T. Kirk (Star Trek) and Mal Reynolds (Firefly) were combined and you pretty much have main character Jared Clement... The story moves at a brisk pace with fun and interesting characters, and lots of action. It very much feels like Mal Reynolds on a Star Trek: Original Series away mission, though much more modern in its sensibilities." —Analog SF&F “[A] rousing. . . far-future tale, taking hard-drinking former Rim Confederacy Navy Capt. Dave Baranek (callsign "Bio") was one of 451 young men to receive his Wings of Gold in 1980 as a naval flight officer. Four years later, seasoned by intense training and deployments in the tense confrontations of the cold war, he became the only one of that initial group to rise to become an instructor at the navy's elite Fighter Weapons School. As a Topgun instructor, Bio was responsible for teaching the best fighter pilots of the Navy and Marine Corps how to be even better. He schooled them in the classroom and then went head-to-head with them in the skies. Then, in August 1985, Bio was assigned to combine his day-to-day flight duties with participation in a Pentagon-blessed project to film action footage for a major Hollywood movie focusing on the lives, loves, heartbreaks, and triumphs of young fighter pilots: Top Gun.Bio soon found himself riding in limousines to attend gala premieres, and being singled out by giggling teenagers and awed schoolboys who recognized the name "Topgun" on his T-shirts. The book ends with his reflections on his career as a skilled naval aviator and his enduring love of flight. The paperback and Kindle editions include more than fifty rare full color photographs of fighter jets in action.
Tomcat Rio: A Topgun Instructor on the F-14 Tomcat and the Heroic Naval Aviators Who Flew It
From Topgun to Squadron Command You're in the cockpit of the legendary F-14 Tomcat fighter, blazing along at twice the speed of sound seven miles above the ocean and the carrier that hurled you off its deck. You're practicing dogfighting with "aggressors," guys on your side flying F-16s. You're patrolling the tense skies above Iraq, and with the push of a button you can launch the 100-mile Phoenix missile that can blow a foe to scrap before you even see him. You are an expert in fighter tactics and aircraft carrier operations, and it all leads to your command of an F-14 fighter squadron of more than three hundred people. Sounds like a week's worth of daydreams, but it's all real-life in the career of Dave "Bio" Baranek, and he shares it with you in the exciting, superbly crafted new book, Tomcat Rio. Dave - callsign "Bio" - pulled his readers into the exciting world of the F-14 and the Navy's TOPGUN program with his popular books Topgun Days and Before Topgun Days. Now he's back with the rest of the story, as he reaches the top level of expertise and proves it, not just in graded competitions but also where it counts, where you shoot at them and they shoot at you. Dave also shares the challenges he faced. A deadly foe called complacency. Learning a whole new mission late in his career. The unexpected trials that come with leading a squadron in the dynamic environment of Naval Aviation. This third volume is full of adventures, lessons, and inspiration. If you are a casual reader, you'll turn the last page as a dedicated Tomcat fan. To make it all even more real, Tomcat Rio includes dozens of Bio's best and most acclaimed photos. Photographer George Hall hailed one shot as "one of the best Tomcat photos ever taken." In words and pictures, Bio immerses you in rich detail. He pipes you aboard as a member of an F-14 squadron. You share the camaraderie of Type A personalities. You plan risky missions, going toe-to-toe against America's most volatile foes. You can almost smell the pungent jet exhaust, almost feel the gut-wrenching G's of a dogfight, as Tomcat Rio pitches you into the thick of it as only Bio can tell it. Strap in You're going for one fantastic ride.

Becoming the best doesn’t happen overnight; you’ve got to work for it. Before becoming an instructor in the Navy’s Topgun program, Dave ?Bio” Baranek was just another kid with a dream. Upon graduating from college, he joined the Navy with the goal of becoming a fighter pilot. But, his eyesight waning, he knew that he would never be able to reach that goal. Undaunted, he plowed ahead and found his niche as a radar intercept operator in the backseat of the sleek, new Grumman F-14 Tomcat. Join Baranek in Before Topgun Days as he takes you along for this greatest, most exciting time of his young life: training to become a naval flight officer. Taking place before the events recounted in his previous memoir, Topgun Days, Baranek brings to life the anxieties and excitement of entering the fast-paced world of fighter jocks. From a green recruit to an experienced flyer, discover what it took to become a Topgun instructor. The day Barack Hussein Obama was elected to the highest office in the United States of America as its 44th President, a major part of Martin Luther King's famous dream was realised. Obama was the first African American to hold that position and his Presidency marked a new direction for American aspirations and a clear break with the previous administration's policies. His accession to the Presidency in 2009 saw America's standing rise around the world. Despite the many setbacks Obama has suffered at the hands of his opponents, he is highly regarded internationally. His famous slogan, 'Yes, we can ' has been taken up by people everywhere who are desperate to improve their quality of life.To give you a greater understanding of the man himself, this book contains numerous quotes from the President, on a variety of subjects. Can we learn anything from them? Yes, we can

Dave doesn't get out much. He's never been popular at parties, or first picked in dodge ball. One thing Dave has always been, though, is a bad roommate. It's not that he leaves dirty dishes out and forgets to flush (though let's face it, he does), it's more about how he manages to always screw things up. For instance, blowing people up. It's not intentional, usually, but Dave's issue is that he's a demon, and not a particularly successful one. Dave is a play in one act for a cast of five that takes place in the middle of a bedroom renovation. A simple attempt at a harmless joke takes an unexpected turn when the couple unwittingly summon Dave. The story follows the three through the ensuing week as the work to finish the bedroom, plan a party, and no get blown up.
