The parish registers of St. James Parish on Herring Creek in Anne Arundel, MD - established 1692 - have long been out-of-print. Because of this, the author has transcribed the parish records books of the St. James Parish, along with those in Christ Church, West River, and Cliffs. All are in Anne Arundel County, MD and include dates back to the middle 1600's through the 1700s. There are two (2) sections to this book. The first is an index of all the individuals, birth, marriage and death dates along WITH their spouse's name. At the center of the book is the index for Part 1. Part 2 gives basically the same information but includes the place of birth, marriage and death, WITHOUT the names of their spouses. The index at the end of the book is for Part 2. To place these names into family groups, please see ancestry.com for the family file called Anne-Arundel. The first Architect of the Capitol, William Thornton, was raised in England and studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.Dr. Thornton traveled extensively on a study tour in Europe before briefly practicing medicine in Philadelphia (1786-1790) where he met and married Anna Maria Brodeau. His descendants can now be found across the United States, including Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, Illinois and Florida.Originally from Yorkshire, England the name Thornton means "thorn hill."

Su abuelo Leslie a quien le dicen com nmente "el Pato" por tener el apellido Donald, se mud a vivir con ellos hace un par de a os y pasa largas horas hablando en distintos idiomas con personas de todas partes del mundo, tiene un acento bastante divertido, ya que nunca aprendi a hablar bien el espa ol.A veces por ejemplo cuando va a decir "entonces" dice "enonces" o antepone una palabra en ingl s a otra en espa ol. Esto lo hace muy divertido, Daniel y sus amigos no paran de re rse cuando lo escuchan hablar. Los radioaficionados como l, son personas que se comunican entre ellos a trav s de radio transmisores, cada uno tiene una estaci n que com nmente se llama DX, lo que significa "distancia desconocida". El "Pato" tambi n ayuda a comunicar personas entre s , muchas veces porque stas se encuentran en lugares de dif cil acceso o tambi n porque en innumerables ocasiones las comunicaciones convencionales no funcionan si ocurren fen menos de la naturaleza como terremotos, tornados o derrumbes. Daniel suele verlo cuando este escucha hablar a otros radioaficionados y cuando sus comunicaciones terminan, por lo general trata entablar conversaci n con alguno de ellos, se identifica con su distintivo propio, el cual es muy divertido porque se parece a las siglas de un avi n "HJ3 ORV", habla de manera muy respetuosa, se cuentan sus propias historias y finalmente se agradecen mutuamente.
