Technologies have influenced many areas of human life. Education is one of the areas that has been profoundly influenced. In this paper we seek to present some possibilities for the use of New Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a tool in the teaching-learning process of classical guitar. By analysing three types of content available on the Web (Video, Text and Audio) and some demonstrations of how to use them in the classroom, we will try to exemplify the possibilities of learning classical guitar using these technologies. To complement this statement, we will use excerpts from interviews with guitarists who use the virtual medium to disseminate knowledge about the instrument in question, as well as data from a survey of guitar students.

Diego de San Pedro and Juan de Flores: the pseudonyms of Lucena, the son of doctor Juan Ramírez de Lucena
After having explained the usefulness of the JGAAP program we come to the conclusion that Diego de San Pedro and Juan de Flores are pseudonyms of Lucena. With regards to La Celestina we will observe in this book that Calisto is Lucena, as per Dr. Ricardo Calvo's hypothesis from 1997 which we finally confirmed with the JGAAP.
Diego Velázquez's Early Paintings and the Culture of Seventeenth-Century Seville
Diego Velázquez spent his formative years at the center of artistic life in seventeenth-century Seville, a gateway to the New World characterized by intellectual debate, religious fervor, and mounting ethnic tensions. Yet critics have often divorced the painter’s novel style and subject matter from the city’s unique pictorial and cultural traditions. In Diego Velázquez’s Early Paintings and the Culture of Seventeenth-Century Seville, Tanya J. Tiffany demonstrates that Velázquez’s works not only engaged Seville’s social practices but also raised issues of vital importance to seventeenth-century Sevillians. As a young artist, Velázquez contended with such essential questions as women’s place in society, the nature of artistic creativity, the role of religion in everyday life, and the incorporation of racial minorities into Christianity. This study offers close readings of individual paintings with regard to their historical framework, critical context, and early reception. Through this approach, Tiffany illuminates well-known masterpieces and also highlights the fluid boundaries between high art and popular forms of visual expression.

It looks at the work he did in the United States (1930–1933) and follows his career from his subsequent return to Mexico through his death in 1957.Drawing from primary source materials, the book reveals facts about Rivera's life that are not well known or have not been widely discussed before. It explores his tempestuous marriage to renowned painter Frida Kahlo and looks at controversial works, such as Rivera's 1933 mural for the RCA Building at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan, which featured a portrait of Communist party leader Vladimir Lenin, and was officially destroyed the following year.

Early in the Depression, Diego Rivera was commissioned by Edsel Ford to create a series of murals in the gallery of the Detroit Institute of Arts, giant frescos whose theme would be America’s industrial might. This volume studies the astonishing results and gives us a remarkably close look at Diego and his wife, Frida Kahlo. Rivera’s Detroit Industry murals are one of this country’s greatest treasures. In addition to providing full coverage and analysis of the murals, the book includes chapters on the murals’ planning and antecedents, Rivera’s working methods (which can be read as a primer on frescos), Diego and Frida’s lives for their nine months in Detroit, and the public’s dramatic response to the strong socialist/communist themes in the works.

Diego Rivera’s America revisits a historical moment when the famed muralist and painter, more than any other artist of his time, helped forge Mexican national identity in visual terms and imagined a shared American future in which unity, rather than division, was paramount. This volume accompanies a major exhibition highlighting Diego Rivera’s work in Mexico and the United States from the early 1920s through the mid-1940s. During this time in his prolific career, Rivera created a new vision for the Americas, on both national and continental levels, informed by his time in both countries. Rivera’s murals in Mexico and the U.S. serve as points of departure for a critical and contemporary understanding of one of the most aesthetically, socially, and politically ambitious artists of the twentieth century. Works featured include the greatest number of paintings and drawings from this period reunited since the artist’s lifetime, presented alongside fresco panels and mural sketches. This catalogue serves as a guide to two crucial decades in Rivera’s career, illuminating his most important themes, from traditional markets to modern industry, and devoting attention to iconic paintings as well as works that will be new even to scholars—revealing fresh insights into his artistic process.
