Von seinen insgesamt sieben Sinfonien, die der norddeutsche Komponist Felix Woyrsch (1860-1944) schrieb, ist die Vierte in F-Dur eine der aufruttelndsten und "politischsten" Sinfonien. Seelenverwandt mit Brahms und Bruckner teilt sie die Tonart mit Beethovens Pastorale und Brahms Vierter.
