This new edition of Núñezs Anthropocosmic Theatre contains the text of the original english translation plus additional contributions from Núñez and others. In part one, Núñez traces his researches in nahuatlan, tibetan and western theatre, to arrive at his design for a theatre of the human in the cosmos. Part Two explores how this work has developed, during the last three decades, into an approach to performance training and production that uniquely combines ritual and ontemplative influences. New and previously untranslated writing from Núñez presents his idiosyncratic view of an awakened and expansive role for theatre today.

Following an air raid on a small British town, Justine Page sets out to find the truth about her missing lover, her supposed friends and their real identities. Her world is turned upside down to expose the roots, as the trails of these missing people reveal their previously hidden lives. Helped by a passing company of Australian soldiers, she uncovers a world beneath the skin of the town that changes everything she thought was real. "A super book, atmospheric and evocative of the time. The dialogue is laced with subtle humour which made me chuckle for all of the right reasons. The gripping nature of the plot was brilliant. I read on for ages avoiding doing all the things I should have been doing Happy to recommend." "This very British 1940s thriller has colourful humour, homicide, conspiracy and a jolly little aboriginal scout called Jarli. So there's something for everyone.""Nearly half way through the book and I'm thoroughly enjoying it; very atmospheric and makes me think of the B&W films from Ealing Studios."

Neville Chamberlain, Appeasement and the British Road to War

Re-examines the controversial policy of appeasement. The text suggests that the mood of the age in British society served to support appeasement, by analyzing the cluster of military, strategic, imperial and economic forces which served to justify it. The book argues that, when Neville Chamberlain came to power, appeasement was part of a broad consensus in British society to avoid a second world war. It provides an interpretation of Chamberlain's conduct by showing how he used and abused the mood of the age to justify a selfish and ambitious policy which was idealogically prejudiced. Yet, when Hitler entered Prague in March 1939, the public mood changed, and Chamberlain found himself a prisoner of a new mood which forced him to make a tactical and half-hearted attempt to stand up to Hitler for which he had no enthusiasm.

The book examines the central roles played by Hitler and Chamberlain in the events which led to the outbreak of the Second World War. It focuses on Anglo-German relations from 1918 to 1939, with particular attention paid to the key events from 1937 to 1939, when Hitler pursued an aggressive foreign policy, while Chamberlain strove to satisfy the 'legitimate' demands made by Hitler in the hope this would prevent war. The book includes an analysis of the changing nature of the debate on the roles of Hitler and Chamberlain in the origins of the Second World War. Hitler, Chamberlain and Appeasement is illustrated and includes primary sources.
