Auf der Grundlage von Hayden Whites Konzept der Tropen des Diskurses wird in dieser Forschungsarbeit das heikle Thema des Terrorismus in Wilbur Smiths The Triumph of the Sun, Those in Peril und The Sounds of Thunder ausf hrlich er rtert. Im Gro en und Ganzen wird in dieser Arbeit die Anatomie des Terrorismus und die Art und Weise, wie Terroristen in Afrika operieren, dargelegt und erforscht, wobei der Terrorismus als t dliches Ph nomen und als Bedrohung f r die Stabilit t der Welt entlarvt wird. Diese Studie bietet auch einen berblick ber die historische Darstellung des Terrorismus: die nationalistische Form des Terrorismus, die aus der Kolonialzeit stammt, sowie seine Internationalisierung. Sie untersucht insbesondere die kapitalistische Ausbeutung terroristischer Organisationen, die sich in der symbolischen Darstellung von Menschenhandel oder Entf hrung materialisiert. Die Analyse der traumatischen Auswirkungen des Terrorismus sowohl auf die Opfer als auch auf ihre Angeh rigen erfolgt aus psychoanalytischer Perspektive.

This book discusses the revolutionary project of the Sudanese Islamism over the Christian Westerners during the era of the British colonial and new imperialist systems in Sudan in the light of Marxist and Psychoanalytic criticisms.During the colonial conquest, the colonisers succeeded in imposing their political, military and cultural domination all over the world. However, it has not been a successful enterprise in the dark land of Sudan. Indeed, throughout the expansion of their religious belief, they were opposed to a fierce rebellion and bloody holy war led by the radical Muslims population. In "The Triumph of the Sun", Wilbur Smith gives a detailed description of the territory split into two parts: the North governed by the native population and the South notably the city of Khartoum occupied by the European Christian settlers. Smith, in the novel paints a bloody war that exists between these two belligerent forces.

Drawing upon Hayden White's concept of tropics of discourse, this research paper fully discusses the thorny issue of terrorism in Wilbur Smith's The Triumph of the Sun, Those in Peril and The Sounds of Thunder. By and large, this book exposes and explores the anatomy of terrorism and the ways terrorists operate in Africa, revealing terrorism as a deadly phenomenon and threatening the stability of the world. This study also offers an overview of the historical representation of terrorism: the nationalist form of terrorism stemming from the colonial epoch as well as its internationalization. It specifically examines the capitalist exploitation of terrorist organizations materialized through the symbolic imagery of human trafficking or kidnapping. The analysis of the traumatic effect of terrorism on both the victims and their relatives is conducted through the psychoanalytic perspective.
