Originally published in 1984, this book proposes a structural theory of social attitudes, presents the empirical evidence for the theory, and defines and explores liberalism and conservatism and the justification for associating social attitudes with these terms. The core ideas are that the structure of social attitudes, those sets of beliefs about social "objects" or referents shared by many or most people of a society, is basically dualistic rather than bipolar, and that the referents of social attitudes are differentially criterial to individuals and groups of individuals. The common belief that social attitudes are polarized, with liberal beliefs at once end of a continuum and conservative beliefs at the other end, is questioned. Instead, liberalism and conservatism are conceived as separate and independent sets of beliefs. The book will elaborate and explain these statements and bring evidence to bear on the empirical validity.

Two websites, vinlandsite.com and Vinlandsite-Science.org have been "visited" by many since uploading of the former, which indicates a consistent, if low-key interest in the age old tales of bygone Vikings to the New World. Visitors from many nations have not yet offered any counter to the presentations of which this author is aware. Early papers were endorsed by the then President of Iceland and were also remarked in Rolex Awards for Enterprise, published in 1955. Other papers, public and private have been received mostly with neutral responses but, on the other hand, with no contradictions or counter-arguments forwarded. The Author would be happier if his enterprise had generated more discussion and counter-argument, but for some reason that has yet yet to be fathomed, the subjects of Vikings and Vinland in halls of both American and English "Academe" is almost exclusively negative; even hostile. My periodic advances to colleges and universities have all been responded to with either disregard or silent dismissal. A major English newspaper occasionally printed thoughtful and balanced articles usually followed by nothing less than hate-mail in its letter section. I know of no program or course of study anywhere in North America's educational systems, except, perhaps in some few primary schools. So open these pages not in expectation of tranquility, but of engagement. World famed Vinland will never be lost, but it may be subdued without reasoned interest of all students of History..

Spanning more than a hundred years, "Public Education in Camden, N.J.: From Inception to Integration tells the history of one of the oldest and largest school districts in New Jersey. Using vignettes and historical narratives, author Fred Reiss, current assistant superintendent of the Camden Board of Education, tells how the Camden Public Schools survived and thrived through events both mundane and spectacular. "Public Education in Camden, N.J.: From Inception to Integration describes and interprets the actions of a board of education throughout a century of history, including: The Civil War era Hostility between the Republican-controlled city and the Democratic-controlled state Peculation and jobbery by board members The World Wars The Great Depression Racism and segregation Using detailed records from many primary sources, Reiss offers a compelling look at the growth and development of an educational board within an historical framework.
In his latest book, IMPARTATION, Pastor Fred Kasule addresses the value of impartation. He further adds: God's program to continue His purposes on earth is through impartation. Impartation from the beginning is the secret to continuity. Man had all that he needed, parts to function, but without the impartation of God's breath, he was not a living being. There are so many people in obscurity who will never be visible until they have experienced an impartation. That's why I believe that God will always give us opportunities to receive impartations, because He created us to be useful and impact those around us.Impartation involves the transfer of supernatural abilities, preceded by a willingness to learn. The transfer of these supernatural abilities can come directly from God or through God's servant, primarily by the laying on of hands. This is a legitimate Biblical practice which, if understood and applied, will enable us to soar in our assignments.

Geophysics for Petroleum Engineers focuses on the applications of geophysics in addressing petroleum engineering problems. It explores the complementary features of geophysical techniques in better understanding, characterizing, producing and monitoring reservoirs. This book introduces engineers to geophysical methods so that they can communicate with geophysicist colleagues and appreciate the benefits of their work. These chapters describe fundamentals of geophysical techniques, their physical bases, their applications and limitations, as well as possible pitfalls in their misuse. Case study examples illustrate the integration of geophysical data with various other data types for predicting and describing reservoir rocks and fluid properties. The examples come from all over the world, with several case histories from the fields in the Middle East.
