Isolation, characterization and in Vitro Antitrypanosomal activity
These studies investigated phytochemicals, and in vitro antitrypanosomal activity of the stem bark of Strychnos spinosa (Loganiaceae). The isolation of the compound from methanol extract was carried out using column chromatography (CC) and thin layer chromatography (TLC). The structural elucidation of the isolated compound was achieved using spectroscopic techniques. The total phenolic content was determined using Folin ciocalteau's reagent, and gallic acid as the standard. SSME 47 was isolated and characterized as Bis -(2- ethylhexyl)phthalate C24H38O4 M]1]+ = 391 reported for the first time in S. spinosa. The structure was elucidated using 1D and 2D - NMR experiment and comparison with reported data. The total phenolic content of the extract ranges between 49.14 to 132.57mg of GAE/g of extract. An appreciable in vitro activity was observed in ethyl acetate extract and the isolated compound at 50mg/mlcaused loss of infectivity of trypanosomes to mice which remained aparasitaemic for 21 days after the inoculation of the in vitro mixture. This study demonstrated ethnopharmacological significance of S.spinosa based on the successful isolation of a potent anti - tryponosamal compound

While global financial capital is abundant, it flows into corporate investments and real estate rather than climate change actions in cities. Political will and public pressure are crucial to redirecting funds. Studies of economic impacts underestimate the costs of climate disasters, especially in cities, so they undermine political commitments while understating potential climate-related returns. The shift of corporate approaches towards incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impacts offers promise for private-sector climate investments but are recently contested. Institutional barriers remain at all levels, particularly in African cities. Since the Global North controls the world's financial markets, new means of increasing funding for the Global South are needed, especially for adaptation. Innovative financial instruments and targeted use of environmental insurance tools can upgrade underdeveloped markets and align urban climate finance with ESG frameworks. These approaches, however, require climate impact data collection, programs to improve cities' and countries' creditworthiness, and trainings. This title is also available as open access on Cambridge Core.

Freedom of Religion and Its Regulation in Nigeria
In Freedom of Religion and Its Regulation in Nigeria: Analysis of Preaching Board Laws in Some States of Northern Nigeria, Ahmed Salisu Garba provides an account of how states in Northern Nigeria have enacted laws to regulate religious preaching in the spheres of influence. The work examines the debates surrounding the laws and how the state in collaboration with dominant religious groups persecuted members of minority religious in the states. The author applied an argumentative approach to raise and analyse issues relating to the reasonability of the laws in Nigeria, reasons for their enactment, judicial review mechanisms employed in the determination of the reasonability of the laws in democracies, and how they accord with the freedom of religion clause in the Nigerian Constitution.

Le fratture aperte della gamba rappresentano il 5-10% di tutte le fratture. Sono soggette a numerose complicazioni, in particolare all'infezione.
