In regard to integration, cultural and political endeavors, the "Deutsche Jugend des Ostens" (DJO) developed extensive concepts to claim its space within post-war Germany. Reaching out to young sympathizers, the DJO fostered the acquisition of cultural, social, and economic capital among the displaced youth.
