Håndbog til pædagoguddannelsen er dels en grundbog, som kan benyttes gennem hele uddannelsesforløbet, dels en nyttig håndbog. Den er således anvendelig både på uddannelsens første år, Pædagogens grundfaglighed, og i de videregående studier på de tre specialiseringer. Hensigten med bogen er at give de studerende viden om, hvad der menes med begrebet pædagogik, og hvad fagområdet pædagogik står for og rummer. Den præsenterer den store variation af teorier og tematikker i ti dele – ti perspektiver – og tilbyder dermed et overblik over fagområdet. Denne 2. udgave af bogen er revideret med udgangspunkt i bekendtgørelsen for den nye pædagoguddannelse 2014. Således er kapitlerne i Del 9 om pædagoguddannelsens fag blevet erstattet af helt nye kapitler, og Del 10 om pædagogens arbejdsområder er væsentligt omskrevet i lyset af de seneste ændringer af folkeskolen og pædagogernes nye funktioner heri. Miten kieltä opitaan? Mitä on tilanteinen kielitaito ja mitä se tarkoittaa S2-opetuksessa? Miten opetan ryhmiä, joissa on monikielisiä oppilaita?Kielen oppiminen on dynaaminen prosessi. Toisen kielen oppimisen tutkimuksen nykysuuntaukset näkevät kielenoppimisen monimuotoisena, kokonaisvaltaisena ja vuorovaikutteisena prosessina, jolle on ominaista jatkuva muutos.
