The Origin of the Wesleyan Theological Vision for Christian Globalization and the Pursuit of Pentecost in Early Pietist Revivalism, Including a Translation of The Pentecost Addresses of Johann Adam Steinmetz (1689-1762)
This book demonstrates that the Pietist revival on the continent of Europe in the 18th century was an important source of the Wesley brothers' understanding of a two-staged order of salvation. This book also shows that the Protestant vision of a globalized Christianity can be traced back to the voices of praying children in Eastern Euopre in a spontaneous children's revival set amid religious warfare entailing massive loss of life and propety. Johann Adam Steinmetz was the preacher of that revival who focused on being "sealed with the Spirit." This book contains a translation of his Pentecost Addresses which influenced Methodism through Christian David.

In 1968, the Methodist and Evangelical United Brethren (EUB) churches merged to form The United Methodist Church. More than forty years later, many United Methodists know very little about the history, doctrine, and polity of the EUB.To be sure, there are vestiges of the EUB, most notably the Confession of Faith, in the United Methodist Book of Discipline, but there is much more to be profitablyexplored. For example, the EUB represents a strand of German Pietism that developed an emphasis on the workof the Holy Spirit in the life of the church that, with the exception ofWesley, Fletcher and the early Methodists, was unparalleled in the history of Protestantism. This book makes accessible to clergy and laity alike the considerable riches of the EUB tradition with a view toward the renewal of United Methodism today."

The roots of American evangelical religion that have usually been traced to the Puritans also included numerous German immigrants. In this migration, a major stream of spirituality, heretofore unexplored in their primary sources, was the Reformed and Radical Pietism that originated in the Rhineland and contributed to the formation of the earliest indigenous expressions of American denominationalism. This volume contains annotated selections, most of which were previously unavailable in English, from Pietist authors representing that Rhineland spirituality. Each selection is preceded by a historical and theological introduction. The influence of each author upon the emerging expressions of German-American evangelicalism, the United Brethren in Christ and the Evangelical Association, is also indicated. These include the Otterbeins, Lampe, Tersteegen, and Stahlschmidt (reformed and reformed-leaning Pietists), the Berleberg Bible group (Radical Pietists), and Collenbusch and Hasenkamp (Neo-Pietists who were influenced by the Enlightenment).

The Innocence AND Guilt of Steven Avery is for people looking for the truth in this controversial brutal sex crime. It is also for Netflix viewers who have heard only sound-bites and have seen only 10 hours of the subjective, biased Making a Murderer movie. Chapter 1 tells about Avery's wrongful conviction for a crime in which he was completely innocent. Instead of watching Making a Murderer, people seeking the truth in this case should spend 10 hours finding the facts and the real evidence by reading the easily available transcripts and court records about this case. Then decide who killed Teresa Halbach.

Opposing the notion that organisational change can be planned, predicted, or controlled, this timely book offers a critical perspective on change management. Johan Coetsee, Patrick Flood, Steven Kilroy and Teresa O'Hara portray change as a fluid phenomenon shaped by negotiation, tension, and the complex realities of power, politics, and institutions. Consolidating insights from leadership, stakeholder engagement, and ethics, the authors present a context-sensitive understanding of change. They frame leadership as a shared, relational process and critique the tendency to depend excessively on standard metrics, which can obscure vital issues such as trust, legitimacy, and inclusion. Chapters challenge traditional linear models in contemporary fast-paced working environments, defining change as a psychologically and emotionally complex process. They also provide an analytical overview of digital transformation, revealing related hidden issues including confusion over roles and ethical risks. Underscoring the importance of values-driven leadership, the book ultimately identifies how to integrate environmental, social, and governance factors into transformation strategies. Rethinking Change Management is an essential resource for scholars and students of business leadership, management and sustainability, and organisational change and leadership. Organisational development professionals and public and nonprofit sector practitioners will also benefit from its promotion of relational and adaptive approaches to transformation.

The definitive book on what is known about the Late Pleistocene and Early Holocene archaeological record in the Southeast The 1996 benchmark volume The Paleoindian and Early Archaic Southeast, edited by David G. Anderson and Kenneth E. Sassaman, was the first study to summarize what was known of the peoples who lived in the Southeast when ice sheets covered the northern part of the continent and mammals such as mammoths, saber-toothed cats, and ground sloths roamed the landscape. The American Southeast at the End of the Ice Age provides an updated, definitive synthesis of current archaeological research gleaned from an array of experts in the region. It is organized in three parts: state records, the regional perspective, and reflections and future directions. Chapters survey a diversity of topics including the distribution of the earliest archaeological sites in the region, chipped-stone tool technology, the expanding role of submerged archaeology, hunter-gatherer lifeways, past climate changes and the extinction of megafauna on the transitional landscape, and evidence of demographic changes at the end of the Ice Age. Discussion of the ethical responsibilities regarding the use of private collections and the relationship of archaeologists and the avocational community, insight from outside the Southeast, and considerations for future research round out the volume.
