Morgan was a convict, a loner and had 5 more years of his 30 year stretch left. He was serving his time in a prison called Quagmire. A prison that no one wanted to go to, even for a visit. It is full of murderers, rapist and child molesters. A riot a week was the average and this week was no different. Convicts were killed and the kitchen was being taken over by the convicts. The wardens wife ran the kitchen and he was worried about her safety. The warden knew Morgan and believed his wife and the other personell from the kitchen would be safe in his cell. He was right and when the riot was over the warden paroled Morgan. He had no idea what he would do with his new found freedom. With the help of the wardens wife and a woman from the kitchen they took control of his life. Morgan married the lady from the kitchen and they bought a home near the prison. Morgan worked with his wife in the kitchen with the wardens wife.
Molly Allison was a young lady with dreams as all young people have. Ty Foster, her uncle loved her and he was a man that was loved by all because of his personality and charm. He told everyone about his gold he dug in Missouri and said he was going to leave all of it to Molly. He died and the search started. His gold was somewheres hid with plenty clues as to where it was hidden. All Molly and her boy friend had to do was follow the clues. Did they solve the riddles or not. Maybe.
In my hometown we kids loved the season of watermelons. We all had a mean steak in us and we had to steal as many watermelons as we could each night. There were plenty patches and we knew where they were all at. We weren't greedy, we took only what we could eat each excursion. The farmers knew we were stealing from them but we didn't know it. "An oil which was a laxative was our worse enemy and it came down on us at least once a week but we stole the melons ane had a good youth because we didn't believe it was wrong to steal them. We were wrong and after a few years we realized that we were doing wrong. That was just a part of growing up i guess. It sure was fun.
Whitney, Molly, Brandon, and Ethan were family, they couldn't wait to search for the treasure of Aidrie which was an old abandoned smelter on the banks of the beautiful Green River in western Kentucky. Each summer as they grew up they would look for the treasure not knowing if it was real or a myth. Growing up in Kentucky was hard in those days because there wasn't many jobs available but they survived and had a wonderful childhood. It is told that in the making of a good man or woman it comes from what kind of childhood they came from. This family had a good childhood so every one of them turned out to be good and honest grown-ups.
The devil comes in many forms. This time it was a beautiful red-headed woman. I was involved in the evils of Satan before I realized it and it took the love of a good woman to help pull me from his clutches. I found that the only was to beat the devil was to become a Christian. That's what I did and after a while the devil finally realized that he had no chance in collecting my soul for his fiery furnace.
