Jacob's life was a drama from womb to grave. There were twists and turns to negotiate on his path through life. At one time, he had to flee from his twin brother Esau, and later from his uncle Laban with his daughters in hand. In his time of need, Jacob made a pact with God. So, God became his travel companion on his journey. And on the way, the reader will see how they build a relationship with each other, and how their pact was fulfilled. There are surprises in the narrative that would shock, and challenge the reader in their faith. This book, intuitively invites the reader to make their own pact with God, and start their own journey with God.The story of Jacob is a Bible commentary on a familiar character. The insights gathered into this book make it a valued resource for preaching, teaching, and for meditation on the word of God for personal growth and faith.

Jacob Monroe lives during the infant stages of our republic. He begins his journey as an innocent bystander, hoping and luring to be a part of something bigger than anyone could ever imagine. His life's twist and turns follows the beginning of our great nation and builds on the foundation not only of what our great country will stand for, but what the Monroe family will base their name on. Nothing will ever be more evident than the importance of their faith and their family. No matter how long it takes to finally realize it, Jacob will find out how vital those two words mean.... Faith and Family.

Most would say that Jacob Corbin has it all, but everywhere he turns he is brought down by his Pastor's-Kid stereotype. He receives persecution on all fronts, from the school psycho, his paranoid principal, and his girlfriend's father who are all hell-bent on making his life miserable. All this is a mere nuisance compared to the hypocrisy of his father's church members. Their misguided acts of ridding the church of undesirable sinners is enough to drive Jacob from any desire to follow the teachings in which they base their ideals. Expressing as much in his actions and attitude, Jacob's parents immediately jump to the conclusion that he's on a swift spiral to hell. Jacob has never questioned the power of God but isn't about to play Christian simply to avoid condemnation. Let the so-called saints point their fingers, he is done. Free will or not, Jacob will soon learn in a very real way that God isn't so easily tossed aside.

When Detective Sergeant Alfred Hill retired from the police force, he ended his long career in disgrace. But when he finds the body of an unconscious man in the same spot where he investigated a suspected suicide in 1962, Hill has the opportunity to redeem his reputation-and crack the unsolved mystery that has haunted him for nearly forty years. The man in question appears to be the same person whose suicide Hill investigated all those years ago, and when he regains consciousness, everyone claims he is, indeed, the missing Jacob King. The only problems are that Jacob King has no recollection of anything-and that he hasn't aged a single day in the past forty years.Unable to reconcile the facts of the case, the police appoint Detective Constable David Sommer to help Sergeant Hill in his investigation. With powerful American pharmaceutical companies and the CIA interested in their suspect, Sommer and Hill have their work cut out for them. And it isn't until Jacob King himself makes a startling revelation that Hill and Sommer understand how important this case is-not only to their careers, but to the future of all humanity.
