In order to receive fundamental healing and lead a healthy life, each of us must comprehend from where an illness has originated and how we can receive healing. God has plainly promised blessing for those who obey and live by His commands, while He has also recorded in detail of the curse and all types of disease that will be inflicted on those who disobey His commands (Deuteronomy 28:1-68). 하나님 앞에 가까이 이를 수 있는 길하나니께 응답받을 수 있는 길하나님과 함께하는 길하나님을 만나는 길이 바로 여기에 있습니다. 지금으로부터 4천여 년 전, 하나님께서는 아브라함을 믿음의 조상으로 세우고 복을 주어 그 후손으로 하여금 하늘의 뭇별과 바닷가의 모래와 같이 창대하게 하리라는 언약의 말씀을 주셨습니다. 때가 이르자 신실하신 하나님께서는 아브라함의 손자 야곱의 열두 아들을 통해 이스라엘 민족을 형성하셨지요. 야곱과 그의 아들들은 하나님의 계획 속에 흉년을 피해 애굽으로 이주한 후 400년 동안 애굽에 살았는데, 이는 큰 민족을 이루기까지 다른 이방 민족의 침략으로부터 지켜 주기 위한 하나님의 사랑이었습니다. 애굽으로 이주할 때에 70명에 불과했던 야곱의 가족이 하나의 민족을 이룰 만큼 강성해지자, 하나님께서는 모세를 택하고 이스라엘 백성의 지도자로 삼으셨습니다. 그리고 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 약속의 땅 가나안으로 인도하신 것입니다. 이처럼 이스라엘 백성을 가나안 땅으로 인도하는 과정에서 하나님께서 친히 주신 말씀이 십계명입니다. -본문中

In this book are portrayed, in contrast, the life of Pharaoh, who disobeyed the word of God, and the life of Moses who led a life of obedience. It also contains the love of God who with His limitless compassion lets us know the way of salvation through the celebration of Passover, the law of circumcision, and the meaning of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Pharaoh witnessed the power of God but still disobeyed Him, and he fell into an irreversible state. But the Israelites were safe from all disasters because they obeyed. The reason why God tells us about the Ten Plagues is to let us realize why tests and trials come upon us, so that we can solve all the problems of life and lead a life free of any disaster. Furthermore, by telling us about the blessings that will come upon us when we obey, He wants us to possess the heavenly kingdom as His children.
