Peredur, The Undiscovered Truth of the Nazi Grail Quest

Peredur, The Undiscovered Truth of the Nazi Grail Quest

Peredur, The Undiscovered Truth of the Nazi Grail Quest is written in two parts. The first part of the book charts the life and adventures of Otto Rahn, the man tasked by the Nazis, in the 1930s, with finding and getting his hands on the Holy Grail for them. The Nazis were hell bent on finding the Grail and reuniting it with the Holy Lance in a bid to create a mythical past of the Aryan race. Rahn believed that by uncovering the truth behind the Germanic saga of Parzival he would discover the whereabouts of the Grail. Parzival had, according to legend, successfully completed a quest to find the Grail, whilst being a knight in the court of King Arthur. In dissecting the story of Parzival, Rahn concluded that the Grail had been held by the Cathars, a heretical Christian sect, in their fortress at Montsegur. He believed that the Grail was still there, waiting for him to find it and based his quest around this belief. Unfortunately, after chasing round Europe in his efforts to find the Grail, and coming within touching distance of finding the truth, the Nazis patience with him ran out with him, and Rahn came to a sticky end, without ever having found the Grail. Rahn was the real-life figure who inspired the fictional movie character Indiana Jones. The second part focusses on Peredur, a British knight hailing from York, and the true hero of the original Grail Story. By examining the life of Peredur and the Grail Story, Peredur, the Son of Evrawc, written about him, we are able to reach the truth of the Grail Rahn and the Nazis never found. Rahn came very close to uncovering this, but the Nazis had lost faith in him, and casting him as a charlatan, hounded him to his death. Much of the story of Peredur, the Son of Evrawc is played out in the ancient British kingdom of Elmet, encompassing much of what we now call South Yorkshire, and whose southern border lay along the line of the River Don. As the story is unpicked, the truth of the Grail, is unravelled, leading to some astonishing findings.
A Sermon, Occasioned by the Death of the Rev. James Sproat, D.D. Late the Senior Pastor of the Second Presbyterian Congregation in the City of Philadelphia
The 18th century was a wealth of knowledge, exploration and rapidly growing technology and expanding record-keeping made possible by advances in the printing press. In its determination to preserve the century of revolution, Gale initiated a revolution of its own: digitization of epic proportions to preserve these invaluable works in the largest archive of its kind. Now for the first time these high-quality digital copies of original 18th century manuscripts are available in print, making them highly accessible to libraries, undergraduate students, and independent scholars. The Age of Enlightenment profoundly enriched religious and philosophical understanding and continues to influence present-day thinking. Works collected here include masterpieces by David Hume, Immanuel Kant, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, as well as religious sermons and moral debates on the issues of the day, such as the slave trade. The Age of Reason saw conflict between Protestantism and Catholicism transformed into one between faith and logic -- a debate that continues in the twenty-first century.++++The below data was compiled from various identification fields in the bibliographic record of this title. Senior Services for the Financially Challenged: Navigating Medicaid Services, Assisted Living Facility Placement and So Much More
"Senior Services for the Financially Challenged" is a gem of a book that proves big things come in small packages. It provides valuable information for low-income seniors, their families and caregivers about the multitude of social services available to help them live with more dignity. The material the author shares is totally public, but could take years of frustrating wrong turns to find out about on your own. This book is your shortcut to the questions you may not have known to ask-and it gives you the answers in a very readable format. How many people know that Medicaid can help pay the greater portion of Assisted Living Facility fees in five-star residential care centers? The author walks you through all the steps on how to apply for the program. If you are caring for a senior on Medicaid, you could be paid for services you may be providing for free out of the goodness of your heart. The author has woven vital, often overlooked information about services available for seniors with financial challenges, while recounting her journey caring for her elderly father as he phased from dementia to Alzheimer's. Most books that touch upon these subjects are too clinical and detached. Others want to sugar coat the reality of caring for an aging, sick loved one. Not so here where the author shares some brutal truths to consider about the decision to become a caregiver for an elderly person. "This book will be an extremely helpful guide for families and/or their caregivers to help them navigate not just through Medicare and Medicaid, but so many social service programs for low-to-middle income seniors," said Colleen Anderson, retired Statewide Program Administrator for California Community Care Licensing, the state agency that licenses residential care facilities for the elderly. "The author has combined a wealth of factual information to help seniors live a better quality of life, along with personal anecdotes while caring for her ailing father." Ms. Anderson is the CEO of the social services nonprofit California Institute of Health and Social Services, Inc. in Los Angeles. Finally there is a book that focuses on providing details on accessing long term residential care to an underserved population-elderly people with limited financial resources.

It's Never Too Late to Tackle Your Dreams!Mike Flynt was swapping stories with some old football buddies when he brought up the biggest regret of his life: getting kicked off the college team before his senior year. So, one of his pals said, "Why not do something about it?" Most 59-year-olds would have laughed. Flynt's only concern was his eligibility. He not only returned to college football, but actually made the team at his alma mater - Sul Ross State, an NCAA division III school. His remarkable story begins with a tough upbringing by a violent father who trained him to fight at every opportunity. His fighting habit took him in and out of jail several times, until a faith conversion turned his life around on the very day he was contemplating suicide.Mike Flynt has much to offer others, not only through his story, but through his belief that it’s never too late for God to heal your heart and fulfill your dreams.Foreword by NBA Superstar LeBron James.
