40 per cent of self-made millionaires are dyslexic. Dyslexia does not equal stupidity. For many, it’s a superpower. Think Steve Jobs, Henry Ford, Steven Spielberg and Sir Richard Branson. The Dyslexic Edge challenges the narrative that views dyslexia as a deficit or impediment to success, presenting compelling research to demonstrate quite the opposite. By delving into the lives and experiences of some of the best-known dyslexic minds worldwide, Jamie Waller and Dr Helen Taylor highlight the distinct advantage that dyslexic thinking brings. From billionaires to budding visionaries, they provide an illuminating deep-dive into the mind and creativity of the dyslexic thinker and offer actionable insights to help the reader apply these frameworks to their own success. Dyslexic thinking is limitless. And, crucially, it can be implemented by anyone. A fun rhyming children book that helps to explain how to minimise the transmission of germs. In a creative context this book gets children engaged by showing them they can be an everyday superhero and help to stop the spread of germs such as coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID 19), the germ that is really quite mean. In a child appropriate manner it explains some of the impacts the "germ" has had, such as park closures and having to stay at home. This book helps to remind children to wash their hands, cover their face when they sneeze or cough, and tries to help remind them not to touch their face.

Electoral Politics in Africa since 1990
Jaimie Bleck; Nicolas van de Walle
Cambridge University Press

sidottu
Democratic transitions in the early 1990s introduced a sea change in Sub-Saharan African politics. Between 1990 and 2015, several hundred competitive legislative and presidential elections were held in all but a handful of the region's countries. This book is the first comprehensive comparative analysis of the key issues, actors, and trends in these elections over the last quarter century. The book asks: what motivates African citizens to vote? What issues do candidates campaign on? How has the turn to regular elections promoted greater democracy? Has regular electoral competition made a difference for the welfare of citizens? The authors argue that regular elections have both caused significant changes in African politics and been influenced in turn by a rapidly changing continent - even if few of the political systems that now convene elections can be considered democratic, and even if many old features of African politics persist.

"Jamie" is a story about a spunky little sparrow who, after just learning how to fly, embarks on an exciting adventure that leads to undreamed of experiences. Written in a manner to delight young children, each chapter can be read as a separate bedtime story, revealing, as the narrative unfolds, the basic principles of flight.
Jamie longs for love and acceptance. A debilitating childhood illness has left him with physical disabilities but he believes that some day someone will look beneath the surface, see his inner worth and love him for his true self. Despite constant rejection he continues to see every girl who crosses his path as the potential answer to his search for a loving life companion. As he endeavours to carve out a creative life for himself his great need for acceptance and love often alienates those around him. Leone Sperling's JAMIE is a poignant and moving tale of a young man's search for love and understanding.
Now back in print, New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster's classic, steamy contemporary romance with a suspenseful twist featuring the mysterious mountain man no woman can resist...JAMIE. For fans of B.J. Daniels, Kat Martin, and Jaci Burton. "No one writes alpha heroes and sexy, swoon-worthy romance like Lori Foster." --Jill Shalvis, New York Times bestselling author It's not that the woman in his arms is naked. It's not that he's carrying her up a mountain in a driving storm. What bothers Jamie is that the unconscious redhead is an intruder, someone who could bring him harm. He has his reasons for hiding out in this stark, secluded cabin; for keeping his emotions under wraps; for never, ever getting too close to anyone. But before she passed out in his bed, she said her name was Faith--an appropriate name since he has to take her at her word. Who is she? Why is she here? Who sent her? And what is she doing to him? Jamie's used to feelings of wariness, isolation, of being on guard. What he's not used to is this dangerous, nearly uncontrollable new emotion raging through him like a man on fire. With a bonus chapter included
