La esclerosis m ltiple es la enfermedad de origen autoinmune que ataca al Sistema Nervioso Central m s com n en personas de 20 a 50 a os. Es una patolog a degenerativa que dificulta e incluso bloquea la conducci n nerviosa ocasionando una serie de s ntomas que var an en funci n de las zonas lesionadas. Entre las alteraciones m s frecuentes est n las del equilibrio y la p rdida de la marcha. El ejercicio f sico puede ayudar a ralentizar la aparici n de estas disfunciones pero los protocolos de actuaci n no est n del todo claros. Por ese motivo se realiz una b squeda sistem tica de ensayos cl nicos aleatorios que valorasen el efecto del ejercicio f sico sobre el equilibrio y la marcha de pacientes con Esclerosis M ltiple. En los estudios analizados se obtienen mejoras en la marcha y el equilibrio, siendo significativas en la mayor a de los casos. No existe un consenso claro sobre el protocolo ideal pero podemos sugerir que la combinaci n de entrenamiento de la fuerza muscular y de la resistencia aer bica parece el m todo m s indicado para conseguir dichas mejoras.
