నూతలపాటి నాగేశ్వర రావు గారు మూడు దశాబ్దాలకు పైగా ఒక కవిగా, రచయితగా పాఠకులకు చిరపరిచితులే. అంతకన్నా ఎక్కువగా, సామాజిక బాధ్యతతో చేపట్టే సంక్షేమ కార్యక్రమాల ద్వారా ఆయన నుంచి ప్రయోజనాలను పొందిన వారికి మానవతామూర్తిగా పరిచితులే.క్యాన్సర్ బాధితుల కోసం తయారు చేసే విగ్గుల కోసం పొడవాటి తలవెంట్రుకలను పెంచి, విరాళంగా ఇచ్చారు. ఒక చిన్న అరటిపండో ఒక దుప్పటి నో పేదలకు దానం చేయడానికి అనాధాశ్రమాలకు పదిమంది వెళ్ళి లెక్కలేనన్ని సెల్ఫీలు దిగి సామాజిక మాధ్యమాల్లో ప్రచారాలు చేసుకుంటున్న రోజుల్లో నూతలపాటి వారి నుంచి ప్రయోజనం పొందిన వారు చెప్పుకుంటే తప్ప ప్రచారాన్ని కోరుకోని నిరాడంబరుడాయన. వారి స్వగ్రామమైన సంతనూతలపాడులో తమ తల్లిదండ్రుల పేర ఉచిత కంప్యూటర్ శిక్షణ నిర్వహించారు. ఈ శిక్షణా కేంద్రంలో 30 రోజులు 52మంది విద్యార్థులకు కంప్యూటర్ విద్యలో శిక్షణపొందారు.ఇక ఈ కథా, కవితా సంపుటాల విషయానికొస్తే చాలానే చెప్పవచ్చు. వీటి కోసం పడిన తపన, చేసిన కసరత్తు అంతా ఇంతా కాదు. ఉన్నతోద్యోగిగా విధినిర్వహణలో ఊపిరి సలపని పనులలో తలమునకలై ఉన్నా, ఇలాంటి సంకలనాన్ని తేవాలనీ, దీని ద్వారా అనేకమంది రచనలను ప్రచురించి, ఆయా కవులకు శ్రీ రచయితలకు ఉచితంగా కాపీలను అందజేయాలని ఎన్నో ఇబ్బందులు పడ్డారు. ఖర్చుకి వెనుకాడలేదు, అక్షరమక్షరం చదివి ఎంపిక చేయడానికి రాజీపడలేదు.ఈ ఉచిత సంకలనం ప్రచురణ ప్రయాణంలో వారు ఎదుర్కొన్న ఇబ్బందులు, అవమానాలు, తొందరపాటుతో కొందరు ఆయన మీద వేసిన కొన్ని నిందలు అన్నీ నాకు తెలుసు... ప్రతీ సందర్భంలో చెరగని చిరునవ్వుతో ఆయన మాట ఒక్కటే.. "చేద్దామండీ.. మంచి సంకలనం తెద్దాం"
