After a successful career Professor Dante Paolo left the high demands of academic research for the rewards of an early retirement. But fate had other ideas. The prestigious Wilmington College needed to bolster their science curriculum and soon the gifted Dr. Paolo was recruited - to the disapproval of the Dean of Academic Affairs - to develop and teach a senior level course. Teach the Professor utilized the Socratic method of learning and by the end of the semester the wisdom gained by the four enlightened students enrolled in the course shaped their future but what Dante learned from them could alter the course of humankind. His profound yet wild insights may well reconcile aspects of human existence once thought to be irreconcilable. Suddenly and with little warning time was short. Dante and the students raced to complete critical experiments to refute or support The Last Hypothesis.
