This book contains the twenty-three prose works of The Vercelli Book, a late tenth-century manuscript. With the exception of some three or four homilies, these works have never before appeared in translated form, much less in a collection. The Vercelli Book contains a significant body of prose and poetry. While the poetry is already well known, having been translated many times, the prose, largely untranslated, remains for many relatively unknown.
