Life is filled with uncertainty. Only Jesus Christ can meet our needs in this insecure world. Here we offer the opportunity to see that our loving God really does visit His people. He reveals His love, gives His wisdom and offers His comfort. These pages relate time spent with God and the blessings that have followed. The truth is that Jesus is Lord - even now, of all world events. And we offer evidence of that very fact - as He demonstrates His Lordship in some otherwise ordinary lives.
In June 2007 Andy and Linda Lane Thornton left their home port of Blyth in their 1973 Nicholson 35, Coromandel Quest, for an extended cruise around Scotland and perhaps a bit further. Five and a half years later they dropped anchor in Grenada having completed a circumnavigation. This is the story of the places they visited, the people they met and the joys and despairs when - as inevitably happens - things go wrong or break, such as when the starboard spreader fractured two days into a 1,600 mile passage. Over the years they have learned that if you need things fixing, do it yourself if you can or at least watch who is doing it for you.
There is something about overcoming grief that creates unshakeable faith. You learn how to transcend this world and enter into the Kingdom of God. This is where your loved one resides. It's God's way of taking us higher. You're able to see what you could not see before. The death of my son was tragic and sudden. I didn't have time to prepare for his departure. Somehow God in His infinite wisdom allowed this painful experience to push me into a greater relationship with Him. I have come to God in ways I didn't even know existed. Through this I was healed from grief. I pray you will be also. For those who have not experienced grief, I pray this book prepares you, so that your faith doesn't fail you if and when you find yourself in this tragic place.
Envision takes on a meaning that begins outside the naked eye of visibility but yet seen far beyond man's five senses and with what is felt from the inside within the spirit, soul and body. There are a lot of things in life that we have been talking about, but not speaking to. There are things that will speak to us, if only we would take the time to listen with our whole heart, and through the pages of what you are about to dive into, there were visions that God gave way to open understandings and even allowed inanimate objects to come forth and stand out, because silence could no longer hold its peace, but came alive; shouted and even cried for the attention. There were even echoes that were heard from a distance, through the wind calling out to me so that I could take notice and pay attention because there are times that require us to lose our selves, but the thoughts of what make sense while trying not to figure anything out tells us plainly and simply to let it be. But how is it so easily that we can make light of our surroundings, when something or someone does not speak in a language that we are used to? You see, whatever is misunderstood does not mean that it does not deserve an ear to hear, a voice to speak or have words to say yet, but if you will, let "Envision" call to you, to open your eyes to see, to open your heart to feel, to slow you down, long enough to stand still and hear, then allow it to show you what you may have left behind or walked away from, and the thing that you did not permit to speak not only quietly awaits, but shouts and touches you, so now, let it speak to you Let it take you on a journey where you have never been or dared to go. Grant yourself the access and the permission to give in, to give up, and give away but at the same time wondered about, meditated on, and yet longed for. You may have felt that it made no sense but embrace what it says to you and witness the birth. John 4:23-24 (AMPC). A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. God is a spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality). Worship with me here God spoke truth when he spoke things into existence, and when he spoke it; it became alive, he caused it to be something that was once hidden that can now be seen just because light touched it. When you are able to imagine or picture and expect that something is likely or a desirable possibility that can come in the future, you are able to bring that picture to yourself and allow the vision before you to give birth, open up, linger, and even speak its own way. He that has an ear hears He that has a voice speaks He that has a heart feels But He that has the Spirit of God is to be led by revelation.

Allan Lane has been a mystery almost as long as he's been seen on screen. Some know him as the never officially recognized voice of TV's famous talking horse, Mister Ed. Others remember him as Red Ryder, the comic book Western hero come-to-life at the Saturday afternoon matinee. And even more remember him as Rocky Lane, yet another Western good guy, and a name which became synonymous with his own. Less well-known is that Allan Lane also had an earlier movie career, before he became a fast-riding cowboy. He began in films in 1929, often playing suave and debonair gentlemen that women could not resist. Over the years he worked with such leading ladies as Barbara Stanwyck, Loretta Young, and Joan Fontaine. Then there was Allan Lane the businessman. At a young age he became something of a vagabond, moving from place-to-place, often living on his own in a boarding house. This was how he got his education, and ultimately made his way in the world. Allan Lane owned his own successful photography agency when he was only twenty-four. Years later, when his Hollywood career was fading, he would return to what he knew best...his business background. In I Am Mister Ed... Allan "Rocky" Lane Revealed, Linda Alexander finally exposes the full scope of this enigmatic man and his complicated life. Finalist for The Marfield Prize, aka The National Award for Arts Writing, from the Arts Club of Washington
Early on a Saturday morning, a young woman drove to her parking space in downtown Winston-Salem, got out of her car, and crossed the street to go into the Integon Office Building to work. Before she could step through the door, she was accosted, a gun was shoved into her side, and she was forced back into her car. What happened next was an atrocity that has haunted her, and perplexed investigators and the people of Winston-Salem for over twenty years. She became known as The Integon Victim of Winston-Salem. Now, finally, the public will know the entire story and the intimate details of her kidnapping, rape, assault, stabbing, and near death as she fought her attacker, and later, helped bring him to justice. At the same time, she provided evidence to exonerate Darryl Hunt for the murder of Deborah Sykes, and finally set him free from prison and set herself free from the past.
