Corporate crisis lately demonstrated again that the corporate image is one of the most important assets in the companies' value. The events that can cause a huge damage to business reputation can arise from a lot of risk variables. To mitigate the negative effects of such events, the communication consultants have to make with the high level of the company been compromised with the crisis preparation since the communication point. The well-managed crises can be opportunities to resetting or strengthen the brand. The Crisis Manual well written and implemented is an important step for Construction Companies, due to naturally the projects are short and medium term, becoming harder the Crisis Committee's job in training and preparing people to respond with efficacy as needed. Another important issue is the lack of importance and commitment in establishing preventive actions to avoid the threat scenarios with remote probability. These are naturally the most damaging, due to lack of preparation of the Crisis Group. The industry of construction still has difficulty for seeing beyond the trivial problems and the most obvious threats. In a world of globalization challenges may be necessary as quickly as possible disclose and spread the experience in Crisis Management in such a way that you can prevent and stabilize any kind of threat. Who knows if, in not too far future, we begin to learn to overcome the limits of our business to meet the challenges and opportunities of the new era.

Diante da necessidade de adapta es da produ o enxuta s caracter sticas de cada organiza o, pesquisadores t m questionado sobre a universalidade desse sistema de produ o. Essas adapta es podem estar relacionadas s caracter sticas contextuais do sistema produtivo de cada organiza o e que podem levar ao desenvolvimento de sistemas de produ o espec ficos, ou simplesmente XPS's. Dessa forma, o principal objetivo dessa pesquisa analisar como as vari veis contingenciais dos sistemas de produ o influenciam nas adapta es das pr ticas de produ o enxuta para a implementa o de um XPS. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida por meio de estudos de caso conduzidos em duas f bricas, sendo uma do setor de eletroeletr nico e outra do setor de eletrodom sticos, ambas localizadas no munic pio de Manaus/AM. Os principais instrumentos de coleta de dados adotados foram entrevistas semiestruturadas e observa o in loco. Por meio da pesquisa, foram identificadas adapta es, mas n o nas pr ticas e sim no pr prio sistema produtivo das empresas, ou seja, ao inv s das vari veis contingenciais demandarem adapta es para a forma o de um sistema de produ o espec fico, o sistema Toyota (abordagem universal).
An introduction to economic applications of the theory of continuous-time finance that strikes a balance between mathematical rigor and economic interpretation of financial market regularities.This book introduces the economic applications of the theory of continuous-time finance, with the goal of enabling the construction of realistic models, particularly those involving incomplete markets. Indeed, most recent applications of continuous-time finance aim to capture the imperfections and dysfunctions of financial markets-characteristics that became especially apparent during the market turmoil that started in 2008. The book begins by using discrete time to illustrate the basic mechanisms and introduce such notions as completeness, redundant pricing, and no arbitrage. It develops the continuous-time analog of those mechanisms and introduces the powerful tools of stochastic calculus. Going beyond other textbooks, the book then focuses on the study of markets in which some form of incompleteness, volatility, heterogeneity, friction, or behavioral subtlety arises. After presenting solutions methods for control problems and related partial differential equations, the text examines portfolio optimization and equilibrium in incomplete markets, interest rate and fixed-income modeling, and stochastic volatility. Finally, it presents models where investors form different beliefs or suffer frictions, form habits, or have recursive utilities, studying the effects not only on optimal portfolio choices but also on equilibrium, or the price of primitive securities. The book strikes a balance between mathematical rigor and the need for economic interpretation of financial market regularities, although with an emphasis on the latter.
