For the duration of his career, David Bowie kept away from scripts imposed by others, choosing, for better or for worse, to write his own story of his life. From the Sixties until his death in 2016, he created a series of fictional figures, imagining them in full, designing, and translating them on stage, giving each its unique identity. The clothes, faces, and music of those years become subjects to colour in, paper-dolls to dress, and board games to assemble in this, the ultimate collector's activity-book: to be approached with glue, scissors and colouring pencils, dedicated to all the fans of the legendary superstar. A 2024 LAMBDA AWARD FINALIST"This enchanting, modern homage to Pinocchio reminds us anything is possible if we're true to ourselves." --Cynthia Leitich Smith, award-winning author of Ancestor Approved and Sisters of the NeverseaEleven-year-old Matteo has never felt like one of the other boys. He's sure that will change when he joins the Blue Whales, the baseball team his dad once played for. This is his chance to grow into a son his father can be proud of.And grow Matteo does, but not the way he expected. Instead, he starts sprouting leaves and finding bark all over his skin. Alarmed, Matteo starts digging for the truth about what's happening to him--and finds that all clues lead back to the oak tree at the center of town, which Creeksiders have always believed is a little bit magic. As his parents start noticing something is wrong, the truth gets harder to hide--and Matteo makes some surprising discoveries about himself, his hometown, and his entire family tree. From Michael Leali, author of The Civil War of Amos Abernathy, this earnest deconstruction of what it means to be a "real boy" is full of humor and heart, and a surefire home run for readers of Mark Oshiro, Anne Ursu, and Katherine Applegate.

The Raging Fire series is a spin-off of the Rescue Me Saga with characters you've already come to know and love. Dakota Mathison created herself at the age of seventeen. New name, new life, new location. Lots of new locations, actually, but she always had to look over her shoulder in case the man from her past caught up with her. The rodeo circuit had been a great place to hide, until she met up with someone who knew her before she'd become Dakota. Matteo Giardano had never forgotten the girl who'd been his sidekick in 4-H. Both shared a love of horses, and while he'd never admitted it back then, he'd loved her too. But she'd disappeared after high-school graduation...until one night in a bar after a rodeo many years later, she sashayed back into his life. Only to vanish again the next day.Months later, she showed up on his doorstep battered and broken from her last rodeo-bucked off a bull this time, no less. The woman seemed hell-bent on proving herself, whether to herself or someone else, he wasn't sure. Though she'd never have to prove anything to him.

Turning 45, Matteo Brightman is in a rut. He's a lonely Little looking for a Daddy. Unfortunately, he's big, buff and tattooed: apparently not the most desirable combination for the available Daddies in the city.Sick of hearing that he's too old and too big to be taken seriously as a Little, Matt decides that he's ready to hang up his onesies for good...until a last hurrah at the local BDSM club gives him hope again.Meanwhile, 26-year-old London Hayes has zero practical experience with any of the BDSM lifestyle. He's just doing his best friend a favour, standing in as her Little wife's caregiver during a themed Littles' Night at their local club. But, when his eyes land on an extremely attractive older man in a onesie, all bets are off.But will this older Little take a chance on a completely inexperienced younger Daddy, especially when that Daddy has an undisclosed -and potentially contradictory to the role- kink of his own?CW: While this is a low-angst, sweet & cute, instant-attraction romance, this book does contain brief mentions of cruelty and bigotry, as well as anxiety and panic attacks. This book is an MM Age Play/Age Regression romance between consenting adults and does include ABDL and wetting, and descriptions of men wearing lingerie. This book contains elements that are suitable for ages 18 and over.
Matteo Ricci and the Missionary Role in the Evolution of Chinese Lexicon
This is a systematic study of Matteo Ricci’s (1552–610) enormous impact on the development of modern scientific and intellectual terminology in China.Taking the Sino-estern cultural exchanges initiated by Western Jesuit missionaries in the late-ing dynasty as its starting point, this book comprehensively presents the new terms coined by Ricci (and his collaborators) in his religious, geographical, geometrical, and astronomical Chinese writings. It uses a multitude of examples adopted from Ricci’s Chinese works as well as from ancient Chinese documents to discuss etymological evolution. Ricci’s early coinages of terms and their subsequent history demonstrate the role of interaction and scholarly collaboration between the late Ming Jesuits and Chinese intellectuals in the formation of modern Chinese lexicon. The research conclusions of this book will further advance Ming-ynasty studies and contribute to a new understanding of the creation of modern Chinese lexicon. This book is a vital resource for students, scholars, and linguists studying and researching in the history of Chinese and early Mandarin. This volume will also be very interesting among students and scholars of Chinese literature and history, particularly among scholars who work in Ming history and literature. The Open Access version of this book, available at www.taylorfrancis.com, has been made available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives (CC-BY-NC-ND) 4.0 International license
