Juli 1944 richtete Reichsmarschall G ring aus dem F hrerhauptquartier eine Ansprache an die Soldaten der Luftwaffe, in der das Attentat auf Adolf Hitler am vorherigen Tage auf das sch rfste verurteilt. Au erdem ordnete er an, da gegen m gliche Sympathisanten der Attent ter ohne R cksichtnahme vorzugehen sei. Er wies nochmals ausdr cklich auf die Macht der Vorsehung hin, die den "F hrer" angeblich vor dem Tode bewahrte. Diese Rede, die in der Dokumentensammlung von Herbert Michaelis und Ernst Schraepler auch als Ergebenheitskundgebung f r Hitler tituliert wird, war die Reaktion G rings auf den gescheiterten Staatsstreich. Er beabsichtigte damit, seine Solidarit t mit Hitler zu bekunden. Henning von Tresckow, ein f hrender oppositioneller Offizier, idealisierte das Attentat auf Hitler am 20. Juli 1944 als positives Zeichen vor der Welt und vor der Geschichte. Er sah den Sinn des Umsturzversuchs weniger in seinen praktischen Zwecken, als in der Tatsache, da die deutsche Widerstandsbewegung dieses Wagnis und seine daraus resultierenden Konsequenzen einging. Doch die Realit t offenbarte eine Trag die, denn in Deutschland begann eine "Hetzjagd" der nationalsozialistischen Schergen nach vermeintlichen Widerstandsk mpfern. Eine gro e Zahl unschuldiger Menschen fand so den Tod.

Es werden im wesentlichen drei Forschungsschwerpunkte in der Soziolinguistik unterschieden: 1.) eine stark soziologisch orientierte, 2.) eine vor allem linguistisch ausgerichtete und 3.) eine ethnomethodologisch fundierte Richtung. W hrend die eher soziologisch orientierte Str mung in den Mittelpunkt ihrer Forschung den Einflu sozio konomischer, historischer, nationaler und kultureller Faktoren auf die reale Sprachverwendung stellt und Ph nomene von Mehrsprachigkeit und Diglossie, Sprachwechsel und sozial bedingte Normabweichungen oder Sprachdefizite untersucht, weisen die im eigentlichen Sinne linguistisch forschenden Soziolinguisten meist anhand quantitativer empirischer Arbeiten nach, da soziale Rahmenbedingungen f r Sprachver nderungen und -wandelprozesse verantwortlich sind und synchrone Variationszust nde demnach einen Ausschnitt aus einem diachron sich vollziehenden Sprachwechsel darstellen. Die ethnomethodologische fundierte Richtung der Soziolinguistik stellt die sprachliche Interaktion in den Mittelpunkt und versucht mit vom Ansatz her unterschiedlichen konversationsanalytischen Methoden aufzuzeigen, mit welchem sprachlichen Mitteln soziale Wirklichkeit erzeugt und ein soziales Regelfeld definiert wird und welche interaktiven Prozesse f r die Bedeutungsproduktion relevant sind.
