Pretende-se que esta caracteriza o seja construtiva, do ponto de vista dos materiais e solu es aplicadas, assim como mec nica atrav s da caracteriza o em termos da sua resist ncia e composi o. O trabalho apresenta as tipologias de constru o encontradas, nomeadamente constru es com paredes de terra que s o recorrentes no pa s, sendo que que a tecnologia mais usual a terra de recobrimento sobre estruturas de madeira com geometrias distintas e pe as de diferentes formatos e dimens es. Diese Arbeit besteht aus der Charakterisierung der lokalen traditionellen Behausungen und der vorhandenen Bauweisen im Gorongosa-Nationalpark in Mosambik. Es ist wichtig, die verwendeten L sungen zu verstehen und ihre Funktionsweise in Bezug auf das lokale Klima sowie ihre Widerstandsf higkeit und Haltbarkeit zu kennen. Das Hauptziel wird sein, die Bausysteme und die Organisation von drei D rfern im Gorongosa-Nationalpark zu identifizieren und zu charakterisieren. Diese Charakterisierung soll sowohl konstruktiv sein, aus der Sicht der Materialien und der angewandten L sungen, als auch mechanisch durch die Charakterisierung in Bezug auf ihre Festigkeit und Zusammensetzung. Die Arbeit stellt die vorgefundenen Bautypologien vor, n mlich Konstruktionen mit Erdw nden, die im Land immer wieder vorkommen, und die g ngigste Technologie ist die Abdeckung von Erde auf Holzkonstruktionen mit unterschiedlichen Geometrien und St cken von verschiedenen Formaten und Dimensionen. Es werden auch die Ergebnisse der durchgef hrten Labortests vorgestellt, die eine Analyse der Eigenschaften des f r den Bau verwendeten Bodens erm glichten.

This work consists of the characterization of the local traditional dwellings and the existing construction methods in the Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique. It is important to understand the solutions used, understanding their functioning in relation to the local climate, as well as their resistance and durability. The main objective will be to identify and characterize the building systems and organization of three villages in Gorongosa National Park. This characterization is intended to be constructive, from the point of view of materials and applied solutions, as well as mechanical through the characterization in terms of their strength and composition. The work presents the construction typologies found, namely constructions with earth walls that are recurrent in the country, and the most usual technology is the covering earth on timber structures with distinct geometries and pieces of different formats and dimensions. The results of the laboratory tests performed are also presented, which allowed analysing the qualities of the soil used in the construction.

We have been curious about numbers - and prime numbers - since antiquity. One notable new direction this century in the study of primes has been the influx of ideas from probability. The goal of this book is to provide insights into the prime numbers and to describe how a sequence so tautly determined can incorporate such a striking amount of randomness. There are two ways in which the book is exceptional. First, some familiar topics are covered with refreshing insight and/or from new points of view. Second, interesting recent developments and ideas are presented that shed new light on the prime numbers and their distribution among the rest of the integers. The book begins with a chapter covering some classic topics, such as quadratic residues and the Sieve of Eratosthenes. Also discussed are other sieves, primes in cryptography, twin primes, and more.Two separate chapters address the asymptotic distribution of prime numbers. In the first of these, the familiar link between $\zeta(s)$ and the distribution of primes is covered with remarkable efficiency and intuition. The later chapter presents a walk through an elementary proof of the Prime Number Theorem.To help the novice understand the 'why' of the proof, connections are made along the way with more familiar results such as Stirling's formula. A most distinctive chapter covers the stochastic properties of prime numbers. The authors present a wonderfully clever interpretation of primes in arithmetic progressions as a phenomenon in probability. They also describe Cramer's model, which provides a probabilistic intuition for formulating conjectures that have a habit of being true.In this context, they address interesting questions about equipartition modulo $1$ for sequences involving prime numbers. The final section of the chapter compares geometric visualizations of random sequences with the visualizations for similar sequences derived from the primes. The resulting pictures are striking and illuminating. The book concludes with a chapter on the outstanding big conjectures about prime numbers.
